I support our legal system but when a kid with candy and a pop is gunned down by a 30 year old madman and doesn't face charges then I start to question the way the law is written. In my opinion (yes, I know my opinion doesn't matter) Zimmerman should do at least 5 years even if he was attacked first and "suffered" a bump on his head and a boo-boo on his elbow. You can't just kill someone for a petty reason.

And if you are a wannabe officer of the law (neighborhood watchman) then you should be held to a higher standard. Don't ya think?

Amazing. A person is killing someone by smashing their head on the concrete and it is considered a petty reason to defend oneself. So pretty much it is now open season and thugs can now harm anyone. It is a petty reason to defend yourself. Amazing.

If every time a person got a boo-boo (into a fight) was legally able to kill the person we'd have someone murdered every 3 seconds. And if two people are fighting then that means whoever pulls their gun out and shoots first is the winner. They both are scared for their mommies, right?

I am not a police officer. I am an armed citizen and will use my rights to defend. Officers daily also shoot to kill.

I never understood why they don't have a law against that kind of stuff.
