From USCIS chicago moved to National Benefit Center, now to another office. Is that normal?

Chicago received my AOS application March 1, 2012. After few weeks, my case was forwarded to National Benefit Center. RFE for birth cert was received and biometric scheduled this april 17. I checked my case status today and it says my case is transferred to another office. Can't wait for the mail for the details of it.

My question, is this normal? moving in 2 offices in a span of a month? hoping no problem anymore..

It's normal. Looks like an interview letter should be coming soon.

05/05/2009 - Received NOA2. Welcome letter for Permanent Residency. I-130 and I-485 approved 04/30/2009
05/08/2009 - Touched. I-485 approval letter sent
05/11/2009 - GC received in the mail. Expires 2019
05/11/2009 - Applied to remove restrictions on my SS Card
05/18/2009 - Received unrestricted SS card
10/13/2009 - My darling husband of 2 yrs 5 months 3 weeks 3 days passed away :(

Yes this is normal.

NBC is the office that ALL adjustment of status is processed at.

Then your case is either sent to the local office for your interview or to CSC for " faster processing " which in and of itself right now is really not much " faster "

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

It's normal. Looks like an interview letter should be coming soon.

Considering they sent their application 1 month ago and AOS takes 4-5 months for an interview / approval its much more likely the case was transferred to CSC.

I notice that some K1s are being interviewed for AOS.

Yes its a 50/50 chance to get an AOS interview. Not everyone gets one.

done with my biometric today. Had a mix experience, car had a problem and we took a cab to uscis office in st paul but the immigration officer there is so kind that offered and gave us a ride back to the car shop. :)

Check my case status now in the uscis website and it says "the I 485 ... was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail or ...... "

It was touched yesterday and the status description doesnt have date anymore. Like the time when it was moved from NBC to CSC, my status case says something "On March ... your case has been transferred...."

Does this mean my case is no longer in CSC and moved again to local office?

Chicago - NBC - CSC - local office.. my case travels alot. hehe

and btw, my AP and work permit havent been touched since the time they received them :(
