Hi!

I have a doubt about the question #12 on the DS 260 form. I am the beneficiary.

Right now I'm not working as an employee, I quitted my job on december to go to the US to visit my fiance.

Now I'm back and I'm not working, I am a telecommunication engineer and also a musician. My job right now is play with my band, I usually play every weekend and I have done that for at least 6 years, even when I have a regular job, and I didn't put that on my work experience because that is not a regular job.

My question is what should I put on the question #12 "Present Occupation" ?

Thanks!!

If your "Present Occupation" is playing in a band, do you receive a taxable salary? If not, PUT NONE

If you receive a Taxable salary from this band, then you should put the name of the band here!

Thanks for no.. I don't receive any taxable salary from this band. I have read that some people say that put "Self employed" is an option, is that right?

Thanks for the answer!

Im working right know as a Recruitment analist but in that question I put "Psychologist". I know that "occupation" and "profession" are not always the same but if you are an telecommunication engineer certified, PUT THAT!!!You are not lying, only because you are not working right know that doesn't mean that you are not an engineer anymore.
