I'm a bit confused and honestly a bit frazzled right now :-( so I'll make it quick (while at the same time continuing to browse through the forum for answers). Two questions

** Does my fiance need his birth certificate? I've read conflicting info on this.

** He hasn't gotten the package yet, but should he be getting the police background paperwork?

Thanks crew. One step closer.

Birth certificate is required at interview stage... is he the one going to the interview right? I'm sorry to ask, but I don't have it clear. Unless in Australia doesn't ask specifically for it.

For police reports it depends of how long is it valid. Here in Peru, it's validity is just three months for example. You will need to find out this first.

Best wishes!

Yes, for the visa interview. Anything conflicting with that answer is wrong. Police background check is valid for one year at the consulate regardless of any expiration on the certificate itself. Get it now.
