DR MEDICAL-HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET RESULTS?

DR friends that have gone thru this already.

I just got my interview date May 7th! YUPEEEE! Now as we know medicals are cheaper as of May 1st. I was thinking of telling hubby to go get his medical on the 1st of May but I know it is only very close to the date of the interview (6 days away including weekend)...

How long did it take you guys to get the results back from the medicals? What do you recommend I do?

Ahhhh I am wondering the same thing! It seems like lately they have been sending the results straight to the embassy from the medical. I would love for my hubby to save some money but my interview is only 3 days away from May 1st.

Ladies...don't cut corners with this.. That is too close. I wouldn't chance it. Just get it done for the regular price. Results are taking 5 days and yes, they are sending them direct to the embassy....but we all know that DR is not reliable.

I was thinking the same thing, everything in DR is so unreliable. I think I'm gonna send hubby to do his sometime next week. After all, it will be 2 weeks from the cita.

I think I will tell hubby to go next week as well. I am not willing to risk a mistake on behald of DR with the hot mess that they are...

I know is not the same process, but does the ten day window apply for the K1 visa medical.

There is no difference in "medicals". All who wish to immigrant to the U.S. must take the exam. The only real difference between K1 and Marriage visa is the documents.

K1 Visa Process -> 12/09-06/10 Married -> 09/10/10 AOS Process -> 09/10-12/10 Removal of Conditions-> 09/12-07/13

U.S. Naturalization -> 7/8/20

With K-1 it is OPTIONAL to get the vaccines, but HIGHLY recommended because your fiancee will eventually need to get the vaccines in the states which can be even more expensive!

So it's your choice. And yes with vaccines it will be $350. Yes I know yikes! My husband will be doing his next week and paying that amount.
