I just got to US less than 3 weeks now,and I notice that my wife is having a serious lover here. And I got my hand on their pictures together, mail and e-mail,they exchange...And all these are showing in her characters, talking to me anyhow.,telling me that she will send me back to where I came from because she doesn't see my used here. She will buy me the ticket to go.After she let me quit my job,my school,my everything, get here, this is the surprise she has for me.I am so confused. But i did not let her know i know everything about she and her man.People what should I do?

OMG! I am devastated for you....It never amazes me that people can be so cruel and heartless. I offer you my deepest sympathy, if infact this is what you're facing (not implying that you're not telling the truth). It's only been 3 weeks and she has flipped the script so soon. Were there tell-tell signs before? I am so sorry and frankly I don't know where to begin or even advise you on this situation. Just want to express my sympathy for you. Stay strong, there are a lot of expert advisers here on vj and I am sure you will get what you need and looking for.

i think she is letting you know that she isn't with you anymore. she has difficulty talking to you in my opinion and there is no other way for her to express it.

i wish you the best. my thoughts for you is to tell her you love her and you will give up on her for her to achieve happiness.

life isn't over for you.

If you get your GC you can stay and ROC on your own. Personally I'd go back home and be around my family and friends. This is a great country, but you can feel lonely fast, and with no one worth staying for, my choice would be getting support from my loved ones especially if something so hurtful happened to me.

I'm sorry... wish you the best.

Something similar happened to me, kind of vice versa. I'm assuming, from your profile, that you are here on a CR1 and have not received your GC yet. I would make an InfoPass appt and speak to them about your options. She cannot send you back. But what will happen is, if she decides she does not want to be with you anymore, the chances of you staying after your 2 yr GC expires are slim. When this happened to me, I went right away to an InfoPass appt and they were very helpful.....I strongly suggest you do the same. They told me things that I never read on this site. What I would NOT do is confront her about the emails, etc.....but ABSOLUTELY print them out and begin collecting evidence from NOW about her infidelity. This will help you in the long run.

I will be so grateful if you can get a feed back for me as soon as possible from info pass.Am so confused.

Whats up with the unfaithful wives and fiances today? Love is the strongest force on the planet and peoples hearts should not be played with like dice.

-sigh-

Talk to a lawyer and see what your options are. Google "free immigration services" and find out whats available in your area.

I'm sorry you're going through all this.

***Hugs***

I agree.....Love should be an unbreakable bond and nowadays it's apparently not in style to be faithful or respectful to the person you are in a relationship with.

I second that -sigh- ......

You need to get a good lawyer, now. Even before you confront her.

I was in a similar situation, but I realized it way too late. I could have made much better decisions. Small things, like what documents to collect and make sure I had, what evidence to put together. That would make my life a hundred times easier today.

The problem is that it's hard to keep a level head in that type of situation. I did the opposite of the best thing to do. I actually threw away everything I had of hers when we split up, lol! Emotional thinking a good lawyer would have helped me steer clear of.

Talk to a lawyer, find out what your options are. Even if it's just a few consultations. Wish I did.

I don't know why people keep suggesting that the guy get a lawyerr. Lawyers are not cheap. He said he just got to the US 3 WEEKS AGO.It is highly unlikely that he is working, he doesnt even have a green card. The best solution s for him to try and work it out with his wife and if it doesnt work he can go back home.He has sacrificed so much to get here already, leaving his school and his job to come here.

Posted (edited)

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I think the OP said he arrived on a CR1? Doesn't this mean that unless there are some other issues, he should be receiving his 10-year card soon and there's no need to ROC? If so, then perhaps he just needs to stay calm, decide on what he would like to do next in terms of his marriage?

The important thing is not to engage with her in any kind of confrontation where she could claim you abused her, that would create all sorts of legal issues for you as domestic violence is taken quite seriously.

If he came on a CR-1 he will receive his GC right away BUT CR-1 is different from IR-1. CR-1 is for marriages less than 2 years and DOES require ROC which may be difficult if the marriage dissolved after 3 weeks in the US.
