It really does depend on the definition of argument. We have 'tiffs' mostly over stupid stuff that doesn't matter. I've always joked that we never really have arguments over anything important, it's over silly things like video games and such.

Even so, we usually only have one of those a month or so. But I won't go as far as saying we never argue.

we rarely argue, The one disagreement that comes up a lot is her letting our daughter sleep in our bed.

I am against it, :( ( being woke up at 2:00am from my daughter kicking me in the unmentionables is no fun

We never yell & she has only punched me a few times :hehe: kidding!

if we do have a problem she is quiet and I do my best to find out what is bothering her, we have a rule never to go to sleep with unresolved problems.

I NEVER argue with my SO! I am super laid back and have super low stress. I run, workout and play music to release my stress. I also listen and my SO knows how to communicate what she wants and feels long before it becomes an issue. Plus we know how is in charge in the relationship so the retribution for disrespect is pretty steep...

I know that when I am starting to feel stressed I can do something to help me relax before confronting what is stressing me. Sometimes when you walk away and exercise when you come back the problem has resolved itself or lost its significance.

We never argue. I think the main reasons are that he has a very calm temper, and we are very good at talking when there's adjustments to be made.

Well... No one is 'in charge' in mine and Chris's relationship, since we have been together we have had 2 really big arguments... Mostly due to frustration at this whole process and money issues etc...

We agreed after the last time that we weren't going to scream and shout at eachother as it gets us absolutely nowhere. We are both quite fiery though, so I am pretty sure it's going to happen again at some point. It's ok to say 'talk' about something, but actually trying to do that when the other person has pissed you off tremendously, isn't actually that easy!

I chose the once a month option, but that isn't entirely accurate really...

Our K1 Journey

November 5th 2005 - ♥ Tash & Chris met ♥

June 11th 2007 - We posted the I129F :D

June 19th 2007 - USCIS received date

June 22nd 2007 - NOA1 received

November 16th 2007 - NOA2 - 156 days from filing

November 24th 2007 - Hard copy of NOA2 received

December 15th 2007 - Packet 3 received

January 18th 2008 - Packet 3 returned

February 13th 2008 - Packet 4 received

March 4th 2008 - Medical @ 1.00pm

March 5th 2008 - INTERVIEW @ 10.00am - APPROVED!!

March 11th 2008 - Visa received!

April 30th 2008 - Flying home at last!!!!! (POE: Dulles - Washington DC)

July 12th 2008 - Wedding date!

Now for AOS!

I totally agree-this process causes A LOT of stress, it is also hard to communicate thru text messages and even when speaking things can be taken the wrong way. If I had a dollar for everytime I have said "I didn't mean it like that"

Can't wait til we are together-then we can argue over silly things like where to go for dinner or which movie to go & see. I think that we were born to wreck eachothers heads

Ya - I found this post because my fiance and I just got into a STUPID argument because I missed one line of text on the skype message board. And I did not figure it out until after he had hung up saying we would talk another day. Grrrr... Just a misunderstanding, but if we are not standing next to eachother it is bound to happen. Fights like this only happen about once a month (so far). In 12 days I will be with Alex again - for 6 whole weeks I am going to visit!!! I just have to keep thinking about this...

Well, this is one ancient thread that perhaps merits resurrection, si man.

A good wedgie will render most arguments moot, si man. See the "Wedgies, Si Man!" poll in this very forum, see man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

It seems this isn't working very well because everyone thinks of argue different. The poster that said they "debate" obviously has never googled what "debate" means.. debate means to argue.

Tony and I rarely fight. I picked once a week for argue though, even though it's more like maybe once a fortnight, if that. They're never big enough arguments that I remember them. I remember one big argument last year and I would say THAT was an argument, that was a "disagreement", or fight and I remember being pretty seriously ticked off and nothing noteworthy since then.

I think of argue is those little nit-picky moments the "we debate" person mentions that they "snap" at each other and apologise right away. You got ticked (even momentarily) with each other. There's nothing to be ashamed of. Couple who don't have disagreements, or moments of being irritated with each other probably aren't being 100% honest with their partners. It's normal to have moments of irritation but it's how you handle it that matters.

We don't argue, we talked alot, and are views are very similar for just about everything. When it comes to the kids well to me they are still kids (13-19) what I say goes. They make it easy though since they are respectful to him, they get along great. Now for never having anything to be irritated by anything each other do, ya I have a few things that bug me but heck I'm not about to get into a dumb fight or stress over his socks not making it to the laundry. I'm sure I do things that may irritate him but he will never admit it. I just remember that if that's the only thing he does that bugs me I'm doing good. Life is too short, and after living with my ex I have it easy. We talk alot about everything its great there is never the feeling we might upset the other.
