No one can tell you what they are looking for.

You have to wait to get your RFE in the mail to find out what it is. An RFE could be for anything.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Like i said previously they could want ANYTHING from you. You have to wait for your letter to come and find out what they want.

I would not think it either one or the two you listed above apply. Your have a properly executed 129-F and NOA1.

They don't ask for proof of a on-going relationship until later. ( Interview) They don't ask for Credit Card Statements in a RFE.

Your Petition has been Accepted and is still in the NVC Stage.

As others said: Reply to the RFE. Yes, it can be for anything but not proof of a relationship. Not for Bank/Credit Card Accounts. Thats Later.

Most RFE's are Criminal Background, Disolved Past Marridge. These are most common.

They do trust your relationship at this time or you would have never recieved your NOA1.

Good Luck

I agree with the points here, but if I'm not mistaken, NOA1 means they received your petition and began processing it. RFEs come later at the USCIS service center adjudication stage, correct? Then, it is forwarded to NVC after approval(NOA2). Just to add, missing forms, corrections needed on forms, or PROOF OF MEETING WITHIN 2 YEARS are some other common RFEs from what I've read. However, I agree they aren't looking for proof of ongoing relationship at this stage per their requirements.

Great idea ........thank you!!

Here is a better idea. Read the instructions. An RFE will be for something you needed to send but did not.

Since you do not need to "prove your relationship" for the petition an RFE will never be for "proof of relationship" It MAY be for proof of meeting in person if you did not provide that. Assume that any claim you make in any form needs to be proven. Example

Are you a US citizen? Yes (attach proof)

No I have never received an RFE at any point in the process all the way through citizenship for three people. You may want to follow someone that has?

Wrong (again). The so-called "NOA1" is simply a receipt for your petition fee. Thay have not adjudicated anything yet. If the check is for the right amount, made out correctly and you signed your forms, they issue the receipt notice. They have no idea about your relationship yet.

Pretty close. NOA1 means they have received and ACCEPTED your petition for processing. It does NOT mean they have "started processing it". It means there was no clear reason to REJECT the petition. (lack of signatures or payment will get it rejected, alomost nothing else will)

The petition is then entered and boxed and sealed. They actually "begin" processing about 15 minutes before it is approved or an RFE sent. The rest of the time is it sealed in a box. "Touches" are when the box gets scanned beacuse the box gets moved. An RFE would have been an approval if the petition were complete

Wrong. For one thiong, at NO POINT in the petition process does USCIS even give a rat's @ss about a "relationship". You can meet someone today and send an I-129f later this afternoon and get approved.

the NOA1 means they received it and that you signed the I-129f and you enclosed a check for the proper amount THAT IS ALL.

There was recently a case here where a person sent ONLY an I-129f and a check, no evidence of anything, NOTHING. He got an NOA1, waited 6 months and then got DENIED without an RFE. Why? "no clear eligibility for a benefit" But he DID sign the form and send a check. He gets to start over. They are not required to send an RFE, EVER. If you have sent enough that they believe you are eligible for the benefit petitioned but they just need some item you forgot, they WILL send an RFE.

Thanks for that clarification. I find myself trying to imagine what is going on behind the scenes frequently.
