I had heard before that the medical is valid for a year after it is done. You need the medical for the AOS too right? I am planning on moving in September and filing for AOS in early October. I have my interview July 5th but wanted to do my medical in May. The lady at Dr. Sneiden said in an email that the medical is only valid for 6 months. Did this change? Or was I mistaken? I should still be ok for the validity but I don't want to do it now until June (even if it is inconvienient for me).

Aos:

10-01-12. Sent AOS, AP and EAD

10-09-12- Recieved NOA's for forms

10-24-12- Successfully walked in for biometrics (originally scheduled for 11-08-12)

11-26-12- Made info pass appointment for emergency advance parole. Denied, but agent called service center to request an expedite.

11-28-12- Agent at Infopass called me to let me know service center approved my request.

12-01-12- Advance parole received in the mail (2 page version, not combo card)

Medical is valid for 1 year.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I don't know if it could be a 6 months validity for the consulate but it is 12 months for AOS.

You can use the same medical for AOS by submitting your Vaccination sheet (DS-3025) only if your vaccinations were considered complete at the time of your medical and if your AOS package is submitted within a year of the medical.

US citizen since April 2016

ROC completed April 2014

AOS from K1 completed February 2012

I think it's 6 months for the consulate, 1 year for AOS.
