hi again

so, i am about to fill out my i-134. the problem is, i just got my tax return done, and apparently i fall about $700 shy of the minimum amount for last year; i was unemployed for most of last year, but i am employed now. i've heard tell that if you don't quite make it, you have to prove that you're worth 5x the shortfall to make it up. other opinions have said that you need to show that you're worth 5x the entire poverty line minimum. which of these is true? can anyone advise me what to do?

needless to say, i'm more than a little freaked, and any help would be appreciated.

thanks

If you are having the Interview before April 1st.. Then do not report this years tax return of 2005... You have to April 15th to file.... The Consulate has no way of knowing if you filed yet or not.... So, only show from 2002 until 2004 Just tell them you have not got all your W-2's ..... They will accept that..... Then make sure you have your letter from your employer stating your current status and how much you are making..... And just so you know.... She can submit any funds she has in her bank to add to it to meet the poverty guidelines....... If you can find someone that will write a Notarized Letter saying she has a job once she comes to the U.S and how much she would be making.... That can be considered as well.. She would need to sign the contract with sponsor form and submit that with it as well..
