Thanks,

I have been a nervous wreck filing I-129f.

Already was returned once for not checking status of my fiancé and have not heard anything for NOA-1 but has only been 2 days. Having the fate of my life in someone else's hands in unnerving for me. Little OCD )))))

You can still send out the petition now. This fee change is for the actual visa application/interview that has to be payed before your interview many months down the road. The petition filing fee is still $340 at this point.

I'm happy for all you who are still in the early stages! Every little bit less that they take is great!

I have to say that I think it blows chunks though... The price drops by almost $100 between the time I pay for my interview (Mar 14) and the time of my interview (Apr 24), and I don't get a refund. That is dirty business right there... (especially since I'm paying for 2 k2s as well!)

But I will try not to grumble too much, and just be happy for those coming after me. :)

The K-1 Visa journey for myself and my two K-2 children:

K-1: NOA1 2011-8-10; NOA2 2012-1-12; Interview 2012-4-24; Visa issued 2012-9-17; POE (Sarnia) 2012-9-26; Wedding! 2012-10-02
AOS: NOA1 2012-11-20; Biometrics 2012-12-14; AP/EAD approved 2013-1-11; Interview 2013-1-31; 2-yr Green cards in hand 2013-2-9 (101 days total)

ROC: NOA1 11-7-14; Biometrics 12-1-14; 10-yr Green cards ordered 4-13-15! (157 days total)

Counting down to naturalization time!

You just sent out your I-129F i think right?? If so, then this WILL apply to you, cause this is what you have to pay the day of the interview.

Sending in the I-129F tomorrow. The USCIS still has the fee posted as $340. Why would it not be changed if fee is less? Don't want to do anything to jeopardize this process.

I-129F Filing Fee: $340

K-1 Application Fee (to be payed before interview): $240
