My fiancee's interview is this friday, October 13 in Bangkok, I am not sleeping, I am nervous, has anyone been denied the visa?

This is most stressfull time in y life the wait is killing me I wish I could go to sleep in wake up Friday, this is going to be the longest week of my life. I wanted to go but then she would have to come alone and that was not an option for me, we have decided is more important to come to the US together. I will be there a week later four or five days before leaving for the state, any advise what to expect the longest she ever flew was an hour. We are stopping in Tokyo on the way back to break the flight thinking it will be less painfull than the direct TG flight.

How did you survive the wait?

I have been doing some remodeling, shopping for things like rice cookers and other nice things for the house, finding good places to by blockbuster American movies with Thai soundtracks, (even though my Fiance speaks fluent English, her brain is going to be on 'English Overload Syndrome' when she gets here = hehe.

When I cant sleep, I pop a few chapters of an audio book into winamp :)

Bill

PS if you still cant sleep, check my last post on the Thailand thread and tell me what form we need - hehe.

Hi Toscunbill

I will check out that post. I went window shoping last weekend and saw a few rice cookers so I know where to take her for that.

Devilette, things have gotten really hard in the USA since 9/11 when it come to immigration.

Hi Toscunbill

All I could find locally were the 'old style' rice cookers that don't have the induction heating, the 12 hour keep warm features or the fuzzy logic sensors. I wound up paying about $160 for a bran new $250 rice cooker on Ebay, a Zojirushi NH-VBC18. They also have them on Amazon, PriceGrabber and a few other places, I just happened to find one on a Dutch Auction and won it at a good price. I have been using it and its great! You just select the kind of rice you are cooking, add the rice and water, (or other ingredients), and push the start button. The sensor does everything else, plays a little tune when its done, and autmatically switches over to the 'keep warm' funciton. Rice comes out perfect every time. I even tried some of the mixed rices like Zatarans and even Rice-a-Roni  - some how it just knows exactly how to cook it and when its perfectly done. I just set it on 'regular' and push 'start' - hehe. It has seperate settings for brown, gaba and a bunch of others.
