hi everyone!

i would like to ask you guys. can i scan our documents ( copye of my birth certificate and copy of our marriage certificate in arabic and the trasnlation and copy of my passport ) to my wife instead of copy them and send them on email ????

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

No, Morocco is not a part of the EP process yet. Originals (with translations) are to be sent to NVC plus a set of copies.

Your I-130 was approved in 196 days from your NOA1 date

NVC
02/13/2012---- NVC Received (3 days after NOA2 approval)
03/09/2012---- NVC Case Completed
NVC Journey 29 days

Interview
04/09/2012---- Interview assigned 17 MAY2012 (30 days after NVC CC)

04/11/2012---- Visa issued and Passport stamped received ( US Consulate Casablanca, Morocco)

POE

05/14/2012---YAY!!

......2 years - 90 days later....

ROC

02/15/2014--- standing by to send ROC packet.

02/25/2014--- ROC packer received.

03/26/2014--- Finger prints

No, Morocco is not a part of the EP process yet. Originals (with translations) are to be sent to NVC plus a set of copies.

thanks for ur answer. but we didn't sent the i-130 yet i'm asking if i can send copy of our marriage certificate through internet and do i have to send just the translation or also in arabic???

Ah OK. Copies would be fine as long as they are readable. you have to send both copy of the original and copy of the translation. Do not forget that you have to complete and sign form G-325A as well, they should see an original signature not just a copy.

oh yes i did that already but we are going to include my wife us passport beographic page and her birth certificate but they still says her maiden name does that matter ?

Scans of the passport biographic page and birth certificate are fine. Scans of all the supporting documentation are fine for the I-130. All of the forms that need to be signed need to be original though. No problem with passport or birth certificate in maiden name (you would never get a birth certificate in a married name, I think). When you get to the next phase, you'll need originals and copies, so hang onto those.

If she wants, she can get a new US passport with her new married name, by filing an application and submitting the marriage certificate.

For the I-130, only send photocopies. Do not send originals. Send in photocopies of the originals in Arabic. Send photocopies of the English translation along with the certification block recommended by USCIS (Google USCIS translation).

For the NVC, you must send in the originals or certified copies from the government agency in charge of maintaining the records, along with a set of photocopies of all the documents submitted.
