Don't try to pull a veil over our eyes or the consulate officer. Obviously the reason why you remarried so quickly was either:

1) You had no intentions to work it out with your USC wife even if you were physically and emotionally faithful to her but had plans to remarry someone new really soon.

2) You actually started a romantic relationship with your current wife during AP with your USC ex wife despite what you said and so was eager to remarry.

3) You and your now wife were already arranged to be married a long time ago but because of loooong AP, you were under pressure (either by your family, your wife's family or by your wife herself ) to marry your Pakistani lady ASAP or you wold loose your chance with her.

No matter the reason(s) the conclusion is the same, you entered your first marriage for a green card.

The fact that you're asking for the benefit of the doubt means our doubts about your story are true. Also the smug way in which you replied about pulling a perfect crime with the help of an attorney shows your attempt and failure at sarcasm.

Chances are your case will be revoked for failure to divorce and remarry aka polygamy. Hopefully, during this time they will review your case for what its trully for. If you are successful in being approved in less than 5 years for a visa then I know karma is going to bite your nuts off because no good deed goes unpunished.

Good luck USCIS on unearthing the past and true intentions of cases such as the OP's.

AMEN! (and I'm not religious!) This man better start considering returning to Pakistan to be with his beloved wife.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

Try not to take any hostility you see here too personally. Remember, the posters here have gone through a lot of trouble and pain to do things properly, and some will take it very personally if they see what they perceive as someone trying to play the system.

However, the hostility serves a valuable purpose for you: it very accurately simulates the amount of scrutiny a consular officer is going to give to your case. If your presentation of your case raises hackles here, there is virtually no chance whatsoever that things will go smoothly at the consulate. Consular officers, particularly in countries with significantly lower GDPs than North America or Western Europe simply do not give the "benefit of the doubt". Ever. That's just the way it is.

If you can't sell your case to us, if the more skeptical posters here think something smells very fishy, you will experience that scrutiny turned up to 11 when you hit the consulate, and you need to do some serious rethinking about your general strategy.

DON'T PANIC

Actually, it doesn't even matter what OP's intention was with his first wife - USCIS prohibits LPRs from petitioning a spouse if the LPR obtained his green card through marriage to USC and the time since obtaining green card is less than 5 years. OP had the GC for few months at most and the petitioned for his wife #2. I don't know how he was able to get USCIS to even accept / approve the petition.

Precisely my sentiment, this case and the actions of the OP are so rotten - the smell is obvious.

OP, this has got ROTTEN written all over it - and it smells really bad to us. So now imagine looking at your case through eyes of an experienced CO - it smells twice as bad.

Thanks- I am a bit surprised at the volume of responses and actually the reaction. I wish I could write all the facts here and sincerely wish you would give a little bit of benefit of doubt to other- If it was meant to be a fraud, I would have done it with perfection and with the help of an attorney. The reason I was quite since morning is that I was talking to friends and family, seeking guidance and did not have time to be on the forum. I found the guidance.

Thank you all and wish you all the best in your endeavors.

Your current wife was denied a visa based on your actions - according to your post. Members here parsed the information you provided and discovered a stink bomb - yet, you're surprised at the reactions. Step back, take an objective look at yourself, your actions and the information you provided. After doing so, is it really that hard for you understand why such reactions?

If one is served a plate of bad food - is it necessary to eat the entire dish to discover something is not right? Nope, the first bite is often enough. Borrowing from another poster, "if you can't sell your case to us," how do you think you can sell these gems to a CO, 1. Married for 4.5 yrs 2. AP for 4 yrs 3. within 6 months of arrival to the U.S., you traveled back to Pakistan to secure a divorce and remarry? Absent any other details - those alone would cause one to be suspicious of your case.

If it was meant to be a fraud, I would have done it with perfection and with the help of an attorney.

You may or may not have knowingly committed fraud - but fraud is fraud, knowingly or otherwise.

IMO, he committed fraud knowingly and hired an attorney to help him. No person with 2 fingers of brain would even suggest committing the perfect crime and with help from a lawyer (unless you're a member of organized crime in which case you're sworn to secrecy!)
