Advance Parole before Biographic appointment?

I'm wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to get your Advance Parole without yet having your Biographic Information appointment? My sister is having a baby in Canada in the next couple of days and I would REALLY like to go back up there to see my new niece. However, I obviously cannot leave without receiving my Advance Parole. My appointment for the Biographic info is April 17th. I tried to go early to the St. Paul office but they wouldn't allow me to do this as a walk in and told me I had to wait until my appointment. He did tell me that the information they get from it is for the I-485 and I-765 only. I'm hoping that he meant the Advance Parole is processed is independent of this appointment. (Therefore not being affected by my late appointment).

From the timelines of people's signatures here it seems to me that the Advance Parole has been issued about a month after the Biographic appointment. I hope its just a coincidence.

If anyone could get me information on this that would be much appreciated!

Emergency AP is given for death or serious illness. Its doubt full they would issue emergency AP to go see your sisters child birth.

AP is issued as a COMBO card with the EAD in most cases now which means you would be waiting to get the AP at the same time as the EAD 2-3 months. Fingerprinting is needed for the EAD.

AP doesn't require biometrics but since it is now issued as a combo card with the EAD which requires biometrics it's unlikely you'll get AP before then. You can request an expedite but given your non-emergency situation it's unlikely to be approved.
