The Nairobi Embassy is a tough Embassy. You should read through all of the Embassy reviews and read the Nairobi Embassy Thread. The Consular Officer's there can be very difficult and the fact that she only visited once could possibly be a red flag for them. Just be confident, look them in the eye when you speak to them, and don't let them intimidate you. Good luck and let us know how everything goes. If your fiance could be there with you for the interview, that would be a good thing.

Yes, it would be beneficial if she was there with you. She won't be allowed into the Consular section, but she can wait right outside the doors. I am not 100% sure about the delay and/or security check since you are muslim. I can only provide my honest opinion...it's a possibility, but they are pretty unpredictable and there's always a chance for that and/or being put into Administrative Review, but that's way better than being outright denied. Stay positive :star:

A good piece of advice here. They don't always give you a chance to show the evidence that you have. When asked a question, try to work out a good method of handing them the evidence as you speak. So if they ask you "has she met your family".. If you have a picture of her with your parents for example, have it handy and hand it to the CO as you speak.

Remember to always know where your documents are if they ask for them. Having the documents well organized is a must!

As for AP, it's not solely based on your religion. Many Muslims around the world never go through AP. More often than not, it seems to be based on a combination of country of birth, religion and more. If you'll get AP, I don't know, but I don't think Kenya is mandatory AP at least.

JaejayC is right...having your documents well organized is definitely a must. If the CO asks you for something...trust me, they will NOT, NOT, NOT have the patience to wait for you trying to find something. And the Nairobi Embassy is not mandatory AP. It seems if you can manage to get through, your visa is granted...I haven't seen that many AP's or AR's lately here on VJ anyway. But, that doesn't count all who go through there who aren't here on VJ. It seems you either get the visa or they outright deny and send the petition back to USCIS. I suggest you read the Nairobi Embassy Thread...it's chock full of really good info on this Embassy. I'm not going to sugar coat it and say it's an easy Embassy...it's NOT, so the better prepared you are is only in your best interest. All the best.
