Hello,

I received a letter in the mail about a month ago stating that our paperwork was being forwarded to the Embassy in Afghanistan. I am about to mail all of the neccessary paperwork to my fiance in a couple of days. They still have not contacted him. Will they contact him through phone/email/or mail? Our petition will expire June 15. I did notice there are a few other VJ members who are waiting to get their packet from the Embassy also. After my fiance receives our paperwork in the mail, I am going to contact the Embassy. Is that a good idea? Anyways, my main question is about my wedding dress. I just got it yesterday :)!!! Would it be a good idea to send a copy of the wedding dress receipt? Also, I apologize I have not updated my timeline. I will update it soon. Thanks for your time. :)

I doubt it will make any difference. A wedding dress itself shows no "evidence of realtionship" (you could wear it to marry anyone) and is not required in any case. It will not HURT to show the receipt.

I would be careful about mentioning the wedding dress at the K1 interview. If you do, be prepared for the possible question by the CO, inquiring about the dress you intend to wear at your upcoming wedding, or was it the dress that you wore at your recent wedding? It may be better to refrain from mentioning it, rather than having to formulate a proper response that would have to be convincing to the CO that you are not recently married.

Our petition will expire June 15.B

Don't worry about the expiration date on the petition, if an interview has not yet taken place, the Embassy has the ability to re-validate the petition.

The OP filed a fiance(e) visa petition and her fiance will be interviewing for a K1 visa. Submission of a DS-3032 or submitting any items to the NVC post NOA2 in K visa cases on the part of the petitioner is not applicable.

The item you quoted is not applicable to the K1 visa process.
