Becoming eligible for Instate tuition

I am planning to get F4 Visa. I am from India..My uncle is sponsoring my mother. In the DS-230 form, I have entered address of Virginia as my living place once I enter USA. I want to attend graduate school at Minnesota.

Can anyone here let me know how can I become eligible for instate tution...Will there be any special provision for immigrants who has intention to stay in minnesota atleast for 2 years ?

To be eligible for the in-state rate, schools require the person be a resident for of that state for a specific amount of time preceding enrollment (usually 1 year, you would need to check with the school to see what the requirement is).

There is no special provision for immigrants or anyone else who have intention to stay in a state for at least two years.

The hefty tuition charged out-of-state and international students is part of the reason they're actively solicited by universities.

Yep check with each school----my school gave me in state tuition rates based on that my wife had been a resident of VA for over a yr. I had to show previous State income tax paperwork as proof. Even though your situation is different--doesnt hurt to ask.
