K-1 visa. Almost 3 months waiting, anyone want to share their experiences?

Hi there

I just wanted to say that I've been there too. Me and my husband (then fiance) started the process back in February last year. Fast forward a year, and we're together and have completed AOS. I know the process is hard and can make you feel your life is in limbo, but it WILL pass (although I know it can be difficult to believe that).

One thing I would say (and I know it's repeated on here) is that, whilst it's difficult being apart, there are also challenges once you get over here too (not being able to work, potentially being at home with limited transportation). Not trying to be bleak here, as I'm so glad to be with husband now, but all I'd say is: enjoy where you are at the moment, plan for your future but don't focus on it too much to the exclusion of everything else, and good luck with your visa journey! Some members I see on here seem to focus only on getting over to the US, which is fine, but I wonder what then fills the void once you are over here, if that makes any sense.

I hope it all goes well!

It is a frustrating process, altho knowing we are not alone makes it slightly bearable.. We filed at the end of January this year and we are slightly over the 2month mark since NOA1.

There are days when I know time will fly by and we will be together very quickly, but other days I hear the clock ticking so sloooowly...

The fact that I am almost done with my university it is making it worse as I do not have much keeping me busy. Luckily I am over to Alaska just now for 2wks and this makes me happy and will try to fill myself up with joy to bear a few more months waiting...

I am keeping my fingers crossed that it won't be a too long journey for all of us.

Hugs to everyone.

I applied early February and the wait is killing me. I check my phone and email obsessively each day. I tell myself each day is getting closer to us finally being together. We've missed birthdays, valentines and now my law school graduation next month :-(

But try looking at the bright side of things, you'll have the rest of your lives to spend valentines and birthdays together. Also my married sister keeps telling me to "enjoy sleeping in the middle of the bed". Whatever that means.

And skype is your friend! We sleep on skype, eat on skype, ...as I am typing this right now, he is doing the dishes on skype and I am watching him. lol! its not great but it reduces the loneliness.

We are in this together!!!!
