Filling out the forms for K2

Hi everyone. I'm filling out the forms for my little son. I'm a single mother and in his birth certificate the are no detalias about father, no name, nothing at all. So can I just put N/A in form DS-230, where it asks about father?

Thanks,I put N/A, guess it's the same, isn't it?. But the problem is that actually the petitioner is the father. I know they are going to ask why we didn't go through CRBA. We just didn't know. I made all documents on my own, cause my fiance already left by that time but he was suppose to be present for CRBA. So i put that i'm a single mother. And i'm confused, cause in DS-156 at question about relatives with permanet residence in USA i put that my son doesn't have anybody over there (i could put that his father is U>S> citizen, but no document proves that) so i put none. And when i got to DS-230 i didn't know what to put at question about father. Of course i could put his father's name, but if birth certificate doesn't say that, why would i do that? Am i right? Sure i'm going to expalin at the interview all the situation. But i'm just afraid that when thei see the form without datails about father they just going to cancel it.
