I was looking at the processing times on the USCIS website (https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do) and it says that the K1 visas being processed currently are from October 2010!! (And the site was last updated January 2012).

Does this mean the waiting times are currently more than 1 year? Please help I am freaking out! I just sent my I-129F package yesterday and I was really hoping to marry this year so my fiance can start his university here asap...

I wouldnt pay that sit a lot of mind. It just depends on when they get to your case. If you dont hear anything within 5 months, I would start calling. Good luck to you.

Texas Service Center DOES NOT process I-129F petitions. The Texas lockbox where you sent your petition is a different place than TSC. Everybody are instructed to send their petition package to the Texas lockbox. From there, they will forwarded it to California or Vermont SC. You will know at which SC your petition is being processed when you'll receive your NOA1 (it's written at the bottom left of it).

VSC and CSC both have a 5 months processing goal.

Congrats on already getting the visa.

I was wondering, in that case that u said to start calling, where would u call? Cause my fiancé tried to call the other day but he said u can't get anyone but the answering machine.

Your NOA1 date is less than 4 months old. No need to call before the 5 months mark, they will tell you to wait. In the case you don't hear anything before it, USCIS number is written at the bottom right of the NOA1:

USCIS Customer Service Number:

(800)375-5283

Btw:.I.just want to mention that my NOA1 does say Texas service center on it in the bottom left, dated Dec 16th n patiently waiting

Welcome to the forum.

At the time of the old thread that you have resurrected, from approximately twenty-two (22) months ago, the TSC did not process fiancee visa petitions. I refer you to response #3 by didopage. Many newbies at that time erroneously noted that the TSC as the filing location for the petition, when in actuality it was the Lewisville, TX Lockbox facility. The Lewisville facility is still the correct location to mail the initial I-129F petition. At that time, the CSC and the VSC were the only centers that processed I-129F petitions. That changed a year or so ago, when due to the massive tsunami of immigration applications prompted USCIS to attempt to realign service center responsibilities to accommodate all of the applications. The TSC is now adjudicating fiancee petitions. It is open to conjecture how long that will continue..

Check out other old threads from that time frame to present to get a more accurate picture of USCIS service center workflow realignment patterns.

Well My NOA1 is January 28th and I got a response today..it was for an RFE which is concerning to me. I cannot imagine what they would want more....it said Request for Initial Evidence....the application was over an inch thick with letters of support, affidavit of intent on both parties, photos, boarding passes, chat logs etc etc....this is a complete mystery to me
