I haven't seen many reviews here on the Las Vegas service centers.

I decided to try an early walk-in just because I was uptown and figured I would rather do it then, instead of coming for 8 AM the next day.

The Las Vegas Application Support Center is just down the street from the main Homeland Security office in a little strip mall.

I went in and directly inside the door was an older security officer who looks 3/4 asleep and on the left side of the large open room was about twenty people sitting...(some of them were there with their spouses so probably ten for their metrics)

He asked for my form and as he was taking a look I explained that if it was possible I would like to have my prints taken today rather than tomorrow morning. He kind of mumbled something in-audible and then got up and leaned into the office behind him and asked a question (I am assuming the question was weather I could walk-in early). He came out, handed me my appt letter, and a clipboard with a form on it. Then he asked if I had a cell phone, which I didn't, and said to go to the front row, fill out the form then take it to the check-in desk and they would give me a number.

I filled out the form, stood in line for a number and the girl there was friendly...

Got my number and sat back down...waited about ten minutes before they called my number.

A nice girl took me to the next room and sat me with another group of people waiting, and they proceeded to take us one by one...I was the second to go from this group.

The girl took my prints on a computer screen (no ink, which surprised me) and we chatted while she did this...then she took my picture and gave me a little survey card to drop in their box on the way out.

Overall a painless experience and was in and out within 20-30 minutes.

It's always nerve wracking doing something you are unfamiliar with, but try to relax - this is an easy part of the process.
