‘STAY OUT OF HEAVILY BLACK NEIGHBORHOODS’: NATIONAL REVIEW WRITER UNDER FIRE FOR RACIAL COLUMN

There is no causal relation between the color of ones skin and violent behavior, but if you believe there is (which you seem to believe), then answer why you don't think women should fear being in a heavily white neighborhood if statistics can be interpreted using your logic? You keep dodging the question.

No, but a correlation could exist. Certainly not 100% valid without taking all the other possible variables into account, but from what I am reading here, people are just reiterating a simple statistical observation. There isn't anything racist about observation. It's simply being aware, and we can't solve any problems without awareness. Through my observations, I can tell you there are more black men and hispanic men than white men in the county jail where I live. So what? It's not the reason(cause) they are in jail, but it is an undeniable observation. I would consider myself delusional to ignore it, but I have enough sense not to make conclusions through observation alone.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

The OP is about stereotyping neighborhoods (stay out of heavily black neighborhoods) based on race. That's racial bigotry. Certainly, there are areas that have higher crime rates, but by and large, your personal safety has more to do with situational factors than just saying, "Don't go near Compton, man! It's dangerous there!" For one, most people have enough common sense not to be walking around in a strange neighborhood by themselves. I've heard people say, "Don't go walking through an Italian or Irish neighborhood unless you belong there!" but the difference with that statement is that no one is trying to suggest that Italians or Irish are inherently violent, which the OP and some here believe is true about Blacks. That's racial bigotry. They think that Blacks are inherently violent when there's a large enough group of them, when the truth is that you shouldn't be walking through any strange neighborhood alone unless you have specific business there. Ask a FedEx or UPS driver who is White if he refuses to deliver in Black neighborhoods? Non-blacks work and live in areas like Compton and they don't fear their lives. They shouldn't. We need to stop segregating ourselves based on race and recognize that while some neighborhoods might be safer than others, it's not because of predominant race of its inhabitants, but because of other factors.

So what are the crime statistics in Italian and Irish neighborhoods vs black neighborhoods?

btw I don't know of anyone that's in danger of walking in a white neighborhood in Alaska, Washington State, and Oregon. Maybe the white neighborhoods are different in your neck of the woods? I hear Scottsdale has some real mean gangs there when they aren't all on the golf courses.

Wear your racial bigotry proudly. No need to dance around the issue. Just come out and say how you really feel about black people.

I noticed when you don't have a leg to stand on you resort the the racist #######. Why is that? Are we suppose to exclude facts on here? Is that a new forums rule that no facts are allowed, only snide accusations?

http://www.neighborhoodscout.com/ca/compton/crime/ <---- Pick some neighborhoods on there where you want to raise your family in a clean and safe environment. The facts don't lie.

Come on Steve that was not real sourcing.

Let me do your home work for you with Dept. of Justice numbers.

http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/content/pub/pdf/cvus06.pdf

Go to table 42 and see how many cases of White men raping black women were reported.

If I am reading it right it says ZERO percent. ZERO Black females reported being raped by white men.

Q: Tell me how many white women reported being raped by a black male?

Did you seriously believe that more Black women were getting raped by white men? than the other way around?

Steve did you get a chance to review the Stats on interracial rape?

You should know better than that Danno. Steve doesn't deal with stats and facts. That kind of stuff is for racist and bigots. :hehe:
