Liberals love freedom of speech and they don't hesitate to use it to criticize other peoples speech. Being highly critical of what someone says is COMPLETELY different than saying they should be restricted from saying it! I cannot emphasize that distinction enough! Saying that someone is full of cr@p, totally wrong, completely outrageous, etc, does NOT translate accurately to saying that they should not be allowed to say it! Most liberals I speak with appreciate people like this author that are not afraid to say what they actually believe. Being PC is waaayyy over-rated!

No, in fact most of the libs I know actually think the Black guys they went to college with are indicative of the Black communities they avoid.

Where you find Blacks with intact families is where you find people you would welcome as neighbors, problem is a social problem, the out of wedlock birth rate is so high it is destroying.....no, it HAS destroyed the Black communities.

I agree, there is nothing inherently bad about black neighborhoods, of course. But black neigh. often go hand in hand with shattered families and kids born out of wedlock, and when nuclear family is disrupted that causes a ripple effect that tends to destabilize larger areas such as neigh., cities and country itself.

I've been in Compton and volunteered right where the Watts Tower is. The stereotyping of black neighborhoods is nonsensical and speaks more about people's racial bigotry than anything. Read the book, Fortress L.A. and you'll have a better understanding of why areas like Compton became segregated. Ignoring the lingering effects of institutionalized bigotry does a disservice to those who have been and continue to be marginalized.

The funniest part still is those like the poster above who come in to "help" by planting trees and painting flowers on the walls. Wow! You really did something. If you wanted to help you'd come down here and start kicking some @$$es instead of painting flowers. Next time that 14-year-old girl curses out her daughter for walking in the street, you can scold both of them and maybe kill two birds with one stone. Who knows. If you keep it up long enough you could maybe even keep her from having another child to another man who's locked up.

There's a disproportionate amount of all crimes except homicides and drug-related crimes. The reason isn't occurances, instances, etc., but reporting procedures and rights of the victim.

When a white woman is beaten and/or raped everyone says, "Oh, poor baby. Lets get you some help." When a black woman is victimized she's further stigmatized by reporting the crime. "Ooh, she wrong for snitchin."
