So, it's been six months since hubby arrived. I feel he's decided to hang out with the wrong crowd, but love him none the less. He's so young and everything is so new to him. He's so curious and wants to try everything. I was upset at first, but I've decided to let him experience life here, as he's never had freedom in his life to do what he wants to do, let him make mistakes, but be supportive of him. I'm sure it will wear off within in the next couple months. Since I've made this decision, we've become even closer and the love has grown... shame on me for being so clingy... i just missed him so much after being separated for a year. I'm so grateful that I get to wake up and see his face and run my fingers through his hair. We might have our arguments, but I would not trade this for anything. It still seems like a dream sometimes!

Awww thank you do much for sharing your walk thus far. My husband is not here yet and I have a godparent who is so concerned with what he will encounter. I have a good understanding of how my husband handles things and he has a natural sense of adventure those are 2 of the things that I find attractive in him. I've vowed to have a "sit back and see attitude" until he asks for my assistance.

I was married before and I forgave all them mistakes over and over thinking he had not had freedom and he was experiencing new found situations. When I married this time around I made it clear to my husband that those mistakes would not be forgiven by me. I can love him and accept errors within boundaries but not mistakes where he knows he is doing wrong and believes I love him so much that I will forgive him over and over. I will not live being suspicious and looking over my shoulder. I did that before and it tore me apart. I was crazy and stupid before, I am only crazy now. Just ask my mom.

This is love you are playing with, it's good to forsee soem mistakes, but he can take you for granted. He might start doing, and become an habit..Then what? sometime,we can love someone, but we also have to let them know how we feel about things, and what are expected of them.No relationship is perfect, there is always storm before the rainbow..My huband been in the state for over 4 months now,we fight,we make up,i give him his freedom to hangout with his friends,we respect each other, and things been going great because we both have respect and understanding for each other. we know what pisses each other off,and we know how to communicate with each other. So far, things are going great..

There is a provert in my country "the water that's for you, will not run and pass you..But,sometimes if you see that water flowing, you have to find a way to protect it or prevent it from over flowing.....

But as long as you accept his behviors, and you happy, that's all that matter..But from your post, sound like you really don't like his friends or his life style, but you are willing to settle and hoping that things will get better..hmmmmmmmm just be careful..

I think it's the drawback of being in a long distance relationship. Because when you actually start living with each other, you'll see a lot of different things, small and big, that you didn't know about them.
