Hey has any one tried an expedite due to the rising violence in Nigeria. Just wondering and thinking as violence escalates what do you think?

Hey has any one tried an expedite due to the rising violence in Nigeria. Just wondering and thinking as violence escalates what do you think?

We did it when karachi got really bad in feb of 2011... we had been at USCIS for 3 months and it got bad so we requested expedite for humanitarian reasons and succeeded and within another month the i130 was approved, we didn't expedite at NVC or asking for a faster interview because NVC and the scheduling went very quickly

But here we are still in ap... and karachi is getting bad again...

Call USCIS and ask for a tier 2 operator and request expedite for humanitarian reasons. Make sure you have plenty of evidence in case they ask for it... they didn't ask for ours even tho I had about 15 pages ready.

I tried it along with another VJ member when the fuel subsidy issue took place and all of the attacks by Boko Haram. The other member got a denial letter. I NEVER received any communication from that and I had delivery confirmation of CSC receiving it.

Yes indeed thanks for the help. What kind of evidence did you have even though you didn't have to show. They just sent the standard email that I requested the expedite and to submit evidence and fax it to them. WOW my first USCIS email. It does work LOL

I had prepared news articles and other things like that as well as travel warnings that they had just posted on the gov site regarding karchi lol but i think they didnt ask for my information because i told them about the travel warnings for karachi that had been updated just days before i sent my request ...

I think i had about 14 news articles about the killings of men women and children and it was very random as well as my husband works nights so all the transportation was not running leaving him to walk home at night and passing by the sites that ppl were killed just an hour prior...

hopefully you will hear something good soon! It took us like 4 days to hear we were approved for expedite and then about a month after we got the approval for petition and went onto NVC...

Ajah, Lekki. But has to commute to Victoria Island sometimes like today he works a graveyard shift. Everyday is a different time to report to stupid MTN. Also Having an american wife is no small thing that you want the world to know about. When I was in Port Harcourt last year it was perilous at best. 2 attempts just on me to get me.

There isn't much real violence there. You have to show how the problems there are imminent and direct. Think of it like the US , it would be hard for me ,in California , to ask for an expediate due to hurricanes , but if the big one comes then I would be at the top of the list. Reports of bombing in Kano and Abuja won't help you reports of bombs on VI will.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
