Had my POE yesterday in Dublin, Ireland. Just to clear things up... Dublin, Ireland IS a POE. You clear US immigration there when flying directly from Ireland to the US. When you then land in America, you just collect your bags... done!

It took about 15 mins. The Immigration officer was a good laugh, asked me if I really wanted to do this, told me if he saw me in 5 years comin' back with screamin' kids he'd say: I did warn you!

The officer opened my Visa Packet (the do not open one) took me into a back room to stamp my passport etc. N.B.THEY DO NOT GIVE YOU BACK THE STUFF THAT'S IN THE ENVELOPE.

As I was walkin' away he yelled back at me: 'Practice saying, "I do!"'

Done.

Congratulations! Glad it went so well, and that you got someone with such a great sense of humor.

So...are you practicing yet? My husband says that's the easy thing, I do, but get busy practicing your 'Yes, dear".

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
