El Salvador - K-3 Visa Almost DONE! Interview scheduled in two weeks!

First off, I want to thank all the users of this great web site... We met in May 2008, Married in June 2010 and I started the process back in April 2011...

After lots of headaches, worries, and stress, I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. She has her interview on April 16, 2012...

If it wasn't for this website, I'm not sure I would've had such a smooth process. I haven't really got delayed on anything, I've just made sure I checked over everything 2-3 times before sending it in...

Hardest part is getting documents to and from El Salvador at random times when something is requested...

Right now I am preparing proof of our relationship to send to her by mail, so she can show that everything is REAL. I am sending proof of all the money I've sent since March 2011 (that's as far as my bank statement will go), Pictures, Letters from family members, Photo copy of my passport showing all the times I have gone to visit her, Telephone logs from December 2011 to April 2012 (I can submit more months if necessary).

The only thing I am hesitant is showing proof of our conversations on Facebook, it's not anything important that shows how our relationship is or that we're actually in a relationship, it's basically normal wife and husband talk about how her day has been going and how her family is or what we're doing, what's on tv, etc, so I'm not sure if to submit that...

Anything else I should submit? Any help is appreciated. I want her visa to be approved on the 16th so I can purcahse her plane ticket and have her on a plane as soon as she gets her Visa and Passport dropped off at her home...

We have pictures from when we've travelled in 2010-2011 to Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and other places in El Salvador, but nothing really from 2008-2009, is that really necessary? I also can't get records showing money I've been sending her since we met in 2008.

Is your wife interviewing for a K3 visa or a CR-1 visa? Here is how you will know the difference, did you only file the I-130 and did you (and your wife) have to submit documents to the NVC? If the answer to either question is yes, then she is interviewing for a CR-1.

Good luck to her at the interview! Regarding the Facebook conversations, my suggestion is to go ahead include that in the package she will take to the interview.

I could've sworn we were doing K-3, but we did submit the I-130 and NVC, I guess I'm in the wrong section then... Tonight is the first time I've actually heard the term CR-1 by the way... So I'm really not sure...

I'll go ahead and submit Facebook Logs, I just don't want to overwhelm these people with 100 pages worth of phone logs and chat logs and give them any excuse for denying the visa on the spot...

The visa type is mentioned on the interview appointment letter. It's worth checking because whether she'll get a K3 or CR1 makes a huge difference on what happens after entry in the US.

Just checked the document they sent me with the interview date, and it does say CR-1. Thank you!

Moved from K3 Process & Procedures to IR-1/CR-1 Progress Reports; OP's wife will be interviewing for CR-1 visa.

Good, then she'll become an lawful permanent resident at POE, much better than the K3 which requires adjustment of status.

couple more days left before the interview, we have so much "proof" that I will be amazed if they reject her approval, I'll be really really angry also.
