That's not an option for me. There is only one place in Dominican Republic where my husband can get his medical done that is accepted. But thanks.

That is just for the physical exam, he can get his vaccinations anywhere. For example, in Paraguay the Panel Physician wanted to charge around $400 for the vaccinations but they are free at the Ministry of Health so that is where my husband got his from.

Yes DR is very picky and even if the person has a reccord of vaccines they don't accept them and make them get vaccines over again at their place.

The medicals are over and done with. It took about 45 min for me and my son together. I didn't have to take the xray since i'm pregnant and I don't have to do it later either. Saved me a few bucks ;-) Now we only got the interview left!

Thank you so much for the information! I'm in Bogota and my worry is because I want to be with my husband for his birthday which I think won't be possible, his birthday is May 29th and the interview is May 23rd...plus we don't want to lose a ticket so we are thinking what is the best day to fly...

If it is 3 business days, do you think is too risky to fly the 31st...knowing that weekend is Memorial day?

You're going to have your husband for the rest of your life and you will celebrate many birthdays with him for the years to come. Not been with him for this one in particular shouldn't be your priority (in my very personal opinion). You should be more concerned about getting the visa on hand first. I think what you want to do is a risky move and I wouldn't recommend it.

Another question...Is there another fee to pay the day of the interview?

If you already paid the $88 for the Affidavit of Support and the $404 for the IV Package (Yes, I know prices went down starting today, but that's a different story - bad timing for us I guess), then you don't have to pay anything else at the Embassy. The only fee you might have to pay is DOMESA which is the courrier who will be delivering your visa and that's if you choose a residential address. Otherwise delivery is free if you pick it up at one of there offices.

11/3/2016: Received email from USCIS-Seoul Office with Naturalization appt set for 11/30/2016

11/30/2016: Naturalization Interview on Naval Base Yokosuka, Japan. N-400 Approved

12/1/2016: Naturalization Ceremony

I hate time zone differences. It sucks only getting to talk to him in the morning and then having to spend the evening totally alone :(
