I can't say I blame the people who, after months and months of stress and agony, just want to leave all this behind them. But of course we're all very lucky that some stay behind to offer their advice!

I agree with you - and it is stressful, painfully stressful at times. Feels better to just let the stress go, sometimes. But it is nice to pay it forward if you can!!

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png
06/09/2012 - POE @ YWG (Winnipeg Int'l Airport)

Removal of Conditions submitted March 24, 2014, received March 26, 2014

"RFE" for page 3 of application received, date March 27, 2014. Package re-submitted with all papers re-attached.

How was your POE? That's awesome news :D

POE was smooth. No questions asked. Just the signature and thumb impression and then the officer looked up and said, "Welcome to America" with a smile on his face.

February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Your last day at work. Wow.

We're crossing either June 13 or 14. It depends when we get all packed up. Our route has changed and we're driving to Seattle first. can't remember the name of the crossing between BC and Idaho but I know it is a bigger crossing so hopefully not too many problems.

LOL! That's right! We plan to POE in about two weeks but for now my mind is only thinking about getting the "actual visa" in the mail. Once we have a "Visa in Hand" then I can breath and starting thinking about the rest. Hope to get an answer by next week :blush:

Your last day at work. Wow.

No, not my last day - just my last Friday :) My last day is next Thursday. Still feels weird - 4 shifts left...

Oh you totally should know soon :) Start to breathe slowly now, take little breaths...so you can take a HUGE breath once she gets the visa :)
