I have a question, I am still a little while away until I get a date for the interview, but some of these posts have made me wonder something. Is a photocopy of the I-130 package necessary for the interview? or is it just a bonus? The reason I ask is, I never made copies of it :innocent::blush:

It is "recommended" that you bring copies of every single document you have submitted through the process to the interview (just in the event that any document either from USCIS or NVC was lost or misplaced in transit to the ultimate destination which is the Embassy or consulate abroad). It is not Mandatory. For instance, I made my wife a Pocket Portfolio File with everything so that she can bring to the Embassy on interview date. I will be shipping it to her as soon as we get an Interview date (that's just me). :star:

My husband's interview is May 15, and we have been trying to decide how much & what else to bring (besides what the interview checklist states). We didn't send any facebook chats, skypes, or photos with the I130 because I figured all this would be asked for later...well here we are later! And they never asked..lol...guess we should compile a sampler of the past 4 yrs since we met? Boarding passes, chat logs, phone bills, photos, receipts...where do we draw the line? I have to send a package out to him soon so he has it before interview..he can print off some of it, but most is in my posession.

If that's the case, I guess I can just print out some of the forms again (I-130, G-325, etc). Thank you :)

Although you may not be asked for any proof at all about your marital relationship (remember that by the time the beneficiary arrives to the interview, 85% of your visa approval has already been decided prior to it based on all the provided documentation), it is always a good idea to bring stuff. You draw your on line, so don't stress about it and just bring whatever you think may have the heaviest weight (i.e.: Pictures say more than thousand words)

ok got it! Thanks...I didn't realize that 85% of visa approval is decided ahead of time. Then I don't get why some people get an RFE a mile long for evidence of bona-fide relationship during the I301 processing stage. Hmmm, they like to throw a monkey wrench in once in a whiile I guess.

My assumption is that it's better to have persuasive proof than abundant proof. When you think about it, Skype/Facebook chats wouldn't hold up in court as proof of much. But we have photos and some hand-written letters... we may include a phone bill or plane ticket stub, but my guess is that if they ask for any proof of relationship, they won't be hoping for a 2-inch thick scrapbook

Our interview is on May 17th in Islamabad.

The letter asked to bring my most recent Tax Return (I guess that would be for this year) and I am also sending my dad's as he's co-sponsor.

We sent phone records and copies of my passport visa page where it says how many times I have visited him in the I-130 package but I would be sending updated versions of that and also more pics.

Other than that, we need interview letter, passport photos, and medical reports?
