Can you tell me the menu sequence you took to get to talk to a live person? I've called numerous times and can't seem to get through a live person no matter what sequence I try. Very frustrating, and I don't want to waste my money that I have put on my phone if I'm only pushing numbers.

I just went through the expedite myself like 1 hour ago. You press the option about your case status like (status of your case). Than it gives the options to report problems/issues. Press that and a live person comes on. I said I need to speak to a tier 2 operator for an expedite request. She said "I can help you". She read all the reasons for an expedite and I said for humanitarian reasons. She than said tell me whats going on and she typed it up read it back. Gave me a referral number thats now assigned to expedite told me it should take 5 days and i will get either an email or mail letter to me. If it takes more than 5 days its that more processing is needed. I immediately got the standard more evidence is needed please fax. So my husband is getting that together along with what I have.

So please do pursue it don't give up. Keep us posted okay. God bless your journey.

Same thing trying to check the status of your case...press#1 English then press#1 for case status...then you'll hear the latest information they have. Then it will give you another option. If you have any problem or changes of address press#3...then you press that #3...then you get too talked to live agent. They will ask you if you are calling to check on your case status. Then tell them that you want to expedite your case. If a live agent asks you to fax it...DON'T fax anything...call back AGAIN!!! doing same procedure then usually if you talked to FEMALE live agent they are more nicer to take your request over the phone...she will read ALL the option/reason for expedite...as soon as you heard "humanitarian"...tell her I want to file it under humanitarian. She will ask you for the reason and verify some information from you...that's exactly what I did...today I got an email from an immigration officer asking for some documentation/letter and her direct fax#...be patience with the fax machine because it takes forever for keep on ringing and ringing without any fax tone...lol but the end it will be send....hey good luck for us okay!!!

I sent a letter explaining how I felt and our current situation in our neighborhood, how we can't move because of the high rent, etc., etc. and then I attached five newspaper articles as well as the excerpt about Honduras's crime off the State Department website. It ended up being 28 pages!

Hi! I am wanting to do the same exact thing! I have the same fears....we don't live in SPS but in Progreso and it has definitely gotten reallyyyyy bad here, as well. I have been living here for over 2 years and traveling back and forth for over 4 years and this is the worst I have ever seen. It has just gotten progressively worse and I worry every day. I also want to try and expedite our case but we are having issues getting his passport (2 months away from 21 years, so he still has to have mom and dad's permission and the lawyer did the authorization incorrectly so our appt. at the office yesterday was useless!!!!) Anyway, yes, I worry everyday that something will happen to him. He doesn't live in a good neighborhood and random, weird things have happened and been said......I think it is good that I don't go to his house often so the "bad guys" up there don't realize he is with a "gringa" but still, they know he has a nice phone, etc. and as you know, people are killed every day over silly things like phones here. So, we are going to figure out the passport thing and then I will be calling and making the same request on humanitarian grounds...it has been all over the news that Honduras is the most dangerous country, so if they allow expedited petitions from other countries based on humanitarian reasons, they should definitely do it for this country! But until we have his passport in hand, I don't want to speed things up!

So I am trying to figure out how to get a new passport appt. really fast and how to make sure that the lawyer does the authorization correctly (his dad lives in another town and can't just take a random day off work to go with us to an appt and sign the papers).....there are those guys outside of the office who say they can get you an appt if you do not have one...I want to know how much they charge and how fast they can get it! Anyone have any experience with that?!?
