Yesterday morning around 9 am, i was still in the bedroom when my wife came and said there are two gentelmen by the door asking about me. She said they showed her their badges. I went out of the bedroom and there were standing inside by the door. One of them showed his badge. The other was holding a thick file, later i knew it was mine. He asked to see our IDs, and then asked me if i was married before ( NO) when did i come to the US, what was my status back then ( K1 ), how many bedrooms are there in our apartment, he asked: did you get married during the 90 days period, i said yes and told him the date of our marriage. He then thanked me and said that was it, and they left.

I was trying to find the post i wrote about my naturalization interview, but somehow, for some reason the admins deleted it ( i am not sure ). During my interview which i didnt feel i was treated with respect and felt like a suspect a crime. i passed the tests, the interviewer asked what's my religion and if i practice it, if my wife and her kids believe in it and practice too (no), he asked why did i apply for the naturalization this early,???!!!!! He kept staring at me in a weird way while he was typing something. He then asked to see if i have more IDs than what i showed him, he asked if i had a wallet, i pulled it out, it was in my hand and he was trying to look at what was inside, he saw my bank card and wanted to see it, i gave it to him. He asked to see if i have documents from our household, i was starting giving him what i had, when he put them on his desk ( without reading them), he gave me a document he printed and stood up telling me, that i need to send some documents. I asked him which ones , he said: bank statments, pay stubs... i was trying to read what was in the paper he gave me and to gather my stuff in the same time, when he was already opening the door and waitting for me. He didnt give me a chance to read and ask if i didnt understand something...

While i was in my car, i read it and it said that they want me to send document proving i had been living in the US since the year i got my 10 years GC.

I dont have anything to hide, i have clean records here and back home. I ve never had a problem with the law or anything like that. I came here legaly, married my USc wife, filed for AOS, ROC and i got my 10 yrs GC on october 2010. I'm married to the same USc. The interviewer doesnt have any reason to treat me like that or to treat me like i'm a marriage fraud suspect,i know his job is to be ''suspecious'' i can understand that if this is the AOS. If my interest was the GC i would have left my wife 2 years ago and i would still be eligible to file for naturalization next year.

Again i have never had any troubles with the immigration nor any branch of law. I spent most of the 4 years in this country between my home and my work I know it's big deal for any country to give you its citizenship, but there lots of people who got it fast and easy, and i thought i already passed the hard parts of the immigration journey: visa, aos, roc. Anyway, i just wanted to share what happend, and i wish you a better smooth experience :)

That is very strange. I think you are only the seocnd person I heard of getting a house call for naturalisation. And then they come all the way out and don;t even look around, or ask any probing questions! It's good that they saw both of you though, hopefully that will put their minds at rest and you will finally get approved.

BTW, your interview write-up is here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/336744-n-400-november-2011-filers/page__view__findpost__p__5170500

Sorry to hear what happened to you. It is better to be upfront and have them inspect any way. Looks like you have nothing to hide. I am sure your application will be approved soon and you'll become USC. Hang in there.

The funny thing (maybe not funny) When my wife opend the door, she said she heard them saying : homicide. She said she started shaking. The night before she spent it watching those crime shows ( the first 48 ). I think they said '' Homeland Security'' and she thought she heard '' Homicide''

i think your name is exactly like some one elses, and they are searching for that person.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I invited the USCIS several times to come visit us, meet our relatives, friends, co-workers, and search our home during that ROC stage. They never showed up, even said that can spend as much time as they like if they won't mind staying in our guest room.

FBI did come, not for us, but to learn about our neighbor for a security clearance. We had a very wonderful conservation, had a lot in common with our military and even discussed politics in this country. After a couple of hours of this, we finally got around to talking about my neighbor.

Just figured we don't have anything to hide, but they sure act like we do, they can come and see for themselves. FBI was up tight when they first showed up, first goal was to put them at ease. Dealing with a bunch or paranoid people here.

Common misconception. Everyone has something to hide. I can think of ten questions right off the top of my head about you and your wife that you would find absolutely outrageous and would refuse to answer.
