Changing address once arriving to the USA

I filed my change of address long time ago but never received confirmation that they did. Was I supposed to pay money to change my address? Does it cost anything? How can I confirm that my address has been changed? I tried calling the 1-800 number but they wanted me to book an infopass appointment...

Just print out the AR-11 form http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/ar-11.pdf

fill it out, and send it in.

Thanks! I also found out they are supposed to send a receipt of notice but if your address hasn't been changed, and you will be filing a new application for something, you just need to write your new address on your form.
