Had my oath last October 12th! Very solemn ceremony with only 60 applicants but it was the greatest day of my life. Adios for now, USCIS!

If they don't schedule one I think that is an error, I've seen it happen too but normally everyone gets called for biometrics at every stage. As I said, mine was July 21st last year and I have a biome

So after my husband's interview 2 months ago which didn't go very well. He passed the civics test easily but got an RFE for proof that we lived together, which I did send proof but they wanted more. We came home and sent it right away and been waiting since. Finally 2 months later, today we got an update saying he's been scheduled an oath ceremony. It's such a relief we're just about done!!

June 15th, 2006 -- Met in Person

Feb 1st, 2008 -- Filed I-129F

May 2nd, 2008 -- Visa Interview = Approved. (91days)

May 27th, 2008 -- Damian moves to America!

July 23rd - 30th, 2008 -- Damian's Mum Comes to the US for our wedding.

July 25th, 2008 -- Wedding Day!

March 16th, 2009 -- AOS Sent

May 8th, 2009 -- EAD & AP Approved (51days)

July 14th, 2009 -- AOS Approved!! (118days)

July 21st, 2009 -- Green Card Received (125days)

No RFEs the whole process :) All done myself.

December 4th - 30th, 2009 -- Visited England

April 8th - 30th, 2010 -- Damian's Brother visits us here in PA.

January 19th, 2010 -- Damian got his PA license.

December 10th - 19th, 2010 -- Visited England

September 16th - 30th, 2011 -- Damian's Parents came to visit us here in PA.

June 1st, 2011 -- Mailed ROC to Vermont.

February 21st, 2012 -- 10 Year Green Card Received

April 14th, 2012 -- N-400 Sent to Dallas Lockbox

November 26th, 2012 – Damian Became a US Citizen!!!

Congratulations!!!

Thanks ZeeBee! We are super excited & its only 3 weeks away! I wonder how many people will be there & if it will be hours long since it will be done in the courthouse!? All these thoughts and excitement running around in my head! What to wear?! WIll I cry and mess up my make up!? :D My grandparents are coming with us and Im so happy they will get to see him be sworn in. I'll be posting pictures of it over on facebook that day!

Hey, guys. I've just got my 10 yr GC. It was a long journey for us. We submitted our I-751 in Feb, got RFE in July and approved just mid Oct. According to the timeline, I'm able to submit my N-400 as early as next month.

I've been watching this thread and it is very helpful to me. Most people here have already gone through the interview. I expect my interview date (even though I have not started preparing my package yet :blush: ) to be somewhere in Jan 2013 (if I file in Nov). I understand that they will ask for proof of marriage, just like the I-751. My question is, to what extend? Are we expected to just bring evidences we have submitted with our I-751 package? What other evidences should we bring? I couldn't think of much, since the two applications are so close to each other.

Expecting to have an interview 2 months after filing is a bit unrealistic. It really depends on your local USCIS office. When I filed I will admit that I had hoped that it will be over in 4 months & will have my oath right after my interview that same day. It took 5 months + few days from filing to oath. Which was the average processing timeframe in my local office.

What I submitted were our Car title and joint account bank statements & my children's BC's. I brought a whole lot of evidence ( like utility bills etc) & original documents on my interview but the IO didn't ask to see any of those. She only wanted to see my passport, GC & state ID.

Will they let me take pictures of hubbys oath ceremony with my IPhone or do I have to use a camera??? I prefer my IPhone,but if I cant then I will get out my camera.
