I know right! I wonder if he will get his oath ceremony in, in time to vote? Just ready for it all to be over & done with too! We'll keep everyone posted when we get the oath letter!

Today is the day. I still cannot believe it. I've been waiting for this day my whole life!! I think I will get completely emotional when I get to the ceremoney th is afternoon. I am leaving work early! :dance:

Hopefully it will. Where I am we must be registered at least 30 days before the election. Not sure if the rules are the same there? If it is mid-September then that should give you enough time! Print the forms out now and have them ready to send off the day after the ceremony.

Hi Everyone,

Need some guidance.

My interview was 8/3/12 and the IO said that I had passed, congratulated me and informed me that he was going to recommend me for citizenship. He said the file had to go to another officer above him. He even handed me a paper confirming the above. That was 3 weeks ago. I still have not heard anything from USCIS.

My field office is San Antonio.

How long is the typical wait time for San Antonio office to make a decision and inform you after the interview? I was hoping with an election coming along they would 'speed' things up. Of course, that was my personal delusion. but, then again .....

Appreciate all help from people who have gone through the experience from this field office (or similar 'busy' field offices).

Seems kinda similar to my hubbys. He had his interview on 7/19 in Houston. Was told he was approved & the oath ceremony will be in Beaumont. He did request a name change. On 7/30 he received an update saying he has a RFE (which was just for the 2011 tax transcript) We mailed it off by 8/7 & post office delivered it by 8/8. We called USCIS on 8/21 and the lady was rude & didnt transfer us to Tier 2. On 8/23 we called USCIS and the person did transfer us to Tier 2 and we were told on 8/21 our RFE was received & on 8/22 it was sent to the Supervisor for their approval and then he's in line for his oath ceremony & to expect the oath letter mid Sept.

Sorry im been to bussy the last 2 weeks working than I almost forget about the forum,

my oath ceremony was last friday in the west palm beach office so finally im done with inmigration,thanks a lot to everyone for the advices and coments thru all the aplication process,,thanks again and God Bless The United States Of America

I had my oath ceremony on Friday, it was really nice. Well organized bunch over at Oakland Park Florida, i must say.

I got an email today stating that I've been put in line for an Oath ceremony and that I'll get a notice when ones been scheduled. Yea!!!! Since I looked them up I know theres one on Sept 28thm hopefully its for that one!!!! :dance:
