Received Oath Ceremony letter today. The ceremony is on September 6th 2012.

If they don't schedule one I think that is an error, I've seen it happen too but normally everyone gets called for biometrics at every stage. As I said, mine was July 21st last year and I have a biome

@rocks: Thank you for the Information. Did they give you new SS Card with a new SS Number or the same Social Security Number and the card did they'll give there itself or they are going to mail it? How much time it may take generally at the Social Security office..... Any idea?

So, my interview will be in 2 days and I'm just a nervous wreck. The letter says that I bring the appointment letter, my PI passport, my husband's birth cert to show proof of citizenship and our marriage certificate. I read on a couple of posts about bringing passport photos, tax returns, proof of ownership like mortgage, bills, etc to show that we are living in the same house. Is this necessary? I submitted copies of tax returns, joint bank accounts and copy of our mortgage with my N400 packet. Please advise

@rocks: Thank you for the Information. Did they give you new SS Card with a new SS Number or the same Social Security Number and the card did they'll give there itself or they are going to mail it? How much time it may take generally at the Social Security office..... Any idea?

You keep your own ss number.

I took the extra passport photos to my interview but they were not asked for. I was required to sign my name on the front of the photos I submitted with my application so perhaps the suggestion to bring others is just in case the originally submitted ones were no good. It doesn't hurt to get them done and take them with you. Even if you don't need them for the interview you can use them after your oath to apply for a passport. No money lost.

If you submitted a copy of a document (tax return etc) in your N-400 packet then make sure you take the original with you to interview. You probably won't need it, but you'll kick youself if they ask for it and you don't have it.

My interview letter had the standard page 2 checklist too. So, I have to get mine done again in Costco. It's a bit cheaper there compared to other places. Not that it's a big deal that its a few dollars less.

Alright, its Monday morning and here I sit going over the questions for the last time. Interviews in just 3hrs from now. I can feel myself starting to get worked up. Surprisingly I slept last night, usually things like this have me either up all night or waking up every hr on the hr. I will come back tonight and let you all know how it went. :thumbs:

My wife just passed her test/interview in san antonio! Whoop!

Oath ceremony is next thurs 8/23 for her...super fast...very happy!

2012-06-15 biometrics in Houston

2012-08-13 interview in San Antonio (why not Houston?) -- Passed!

2012-08-23 Oath ceremony

2012-08-23 U.S. Citizen!
