Good morning all,

I am fairly new to this forum and I want to add my name to the list of N-400 filers.

04/12/12 Application sent

04/16/12 Priority date

04/19/12 Check cashed

05/08/12 FP appointment

I am a little puzzled since two days I received a text message with the following information:

"On May 17, 2012, we mailed you an appointment notice to have your fingerprints taken. Please follow the instructions on the notice. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

This intrigues and worries me at the same time since I have already taken my fingerprints on May 8th.

Could they be mistaken and possibly sent my interview letter instead?

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome! Please can you give us the notice date, not the priority date. Sometimes the texts/emails they send are delayed, hopefully that is all it is. Keep your eyes open for a second notice, if you do get one you may have to attend.

If they don't schedule one I think that is an error, I've seen it happen too but normally everyone gets called for biometrics at every stage. As I said, mine was July 21st last year and I have a biome

Any help would be appreciated.

Was this an email/text? As I said before, those are often delayed in being sent and are not reliable. I received the same email from USCIS for ROC about 4 or 5 times telling me I was approved. :bonk:

You can always call USCIS and ask to speak to an ISO and ask what the situation is, they will be able to tell you if you have an interview date set or whether you have another biometrics appointment.

friends in St. Paul MN why our biometric is taking too long. others are getting in few days. any idea?

During ROC I waited 90 days for mine! It's been 43 days, I would go ahead and call USCIS and see if they will let you raise a service request. It is probably just because your local office is busy, but it would be good to check that the letter didn't get lost in the mail or something.

I called USCIS and they have sent inquiry and told me that local office will contact me within 15 days.

If they don't have your email address they will send you a letter which might take a little longer than 15 days to turn up. It sounds like your local office is busy and hasn't scheduled you an appointment yet. Good luck, let us know what they tell you. :)
