Ok, I am just a worry freak. It's been 11 days since Texas received my packet and so far check is not cashed and no NOA. Should I get worried? I sent it out to the P.O Box address. Please advise..

I wish I could offer good advice but I will be a worried freak if I was in your shoes too. With all the stories of lost items that were sent to USCIS and items coming out of USCIS, I am always on edge every time I send something to USCIS (until there is official confirmation that they received it) and every time they notify me that they are sending me something (until I get my hands on the item in question).

I hope you will hear some good news soon. If not, you might have to go to INFOPASS and ask your local IO to check your application on their system as the customer service hotline can not help (they always don't anyway) you with any info.

If they don't schedule one I think that is an error, I've seen it happen too but normally everyone gets called for biometrics at every stage. As I said, mine was July 21st last year and I have a biome

Did you receive Biometrics Appointment letter today?......

Ooh our case status says On April 25th they mailed out an apptmnt letter for biometrics! Can't wait to get the letter!

She got the letter today. I hope it was enough notice for her husband to take time off work!

We checked our case status the other day & it said that on the 25th they mailed out his biometric letter. We just received it today and his biometric date is for next week Monday. Yes for us it's perfect timing bcz him & I are both off work next week Monday so I get to be with him there!

It's actually crazy how it just worked out like that bcz we work a lot & I was really hoping it would be on a day off and it is! Amazing! It is short notice though huh???

Thanks! Yah hubby & I were going to go out to eat but I told him we couldn't leave the house til the mailman came.. Then the mailman came late, then a neighbor stopped him to chat.... When he finally came to our house I had hubby go check the mail & I was jumping up & down when I saw the envelope... I was shocked when it said next week Monday then we realized we are both off work!!!

Thank you for all the advices! I'm just worried since there's a lot of important documents in that packet. If it was really lost, I would be living in fear of identity theft. So far, the check hasn't cashed in yet. No NOA in the mail so far. The worst thing is, we will be moving into our new house on the 7th. If I don't hear anything from USCIS within the 2nd week of this month, I'll be surely getting an INFOPASS. Such a hassle that my local office is 1.5 hrs away but I'm hoping I could get some answers.

Thank you for all the advices! I'm just worried since there's a lot of important documents in that packet. If it was really lost, I would be living in fear of identity theft. So far, the check hasn't cashed in yet. No NOA in the mail so far. The worst thing is, we will be moving into our new house on the 7th. If I don't hear anything from USCIS within the 2nd week of this month, I'll be surely getting an INFOPASS. Such a hassle that my local office is 1.5 hrs away but I'm hoping I could get some answers.

Oh no, so sorry to hear this. Have you called USCIS and asked to speak to an immigration officer?
