Okay so i check my our status online and lord behold another rfe! I gave my lawyer everything that the form as for I mean what the hell! It says that they sent me a request for initial evidence! I'm irritated bc I don't know what happened to all the stuff tht was included to begin with! Last but not least my dumb lawyer since my original everything after I told him to make copies! So now I gotta obtain new bc,marriage cerficate, translations and stuff! Ugh any advice!

Get a new lawyer who actually listens and knows what he/she is doing? Or just fire the lawyer and do it yourself. You have more time and are more careful than they would be with your own case.

I agree with Inky. Unless you need a lawyer for legal representation concerning areas other than just filing, they are a waste of money. Some of them try to make the process seem difficult to give the impression that their "time" and believed "effort" are worth it. Meanwhile, they are RFE magnets. Listen to Inky. Blot that one out and get your process moving. The service centers are already backlogged as it is. Your do not need all that unnecessary delay. All the best.

Thanks so much guys I will update you all once I recieve the rfe! But my lawyer does seem not to know what he's doing in my opinion! But ppl I know have used him and gave get reviews also he's one of the best in the area but with his 3 mistakes with the evidence I'm ready to fire him already because this is wasting my time and the uscis office time and paper! Please keep us in your prayers my hubby is so anxious bc he's been waiting to do this for so long and it seems all is going wrong!

I feel I needed a lawyer bc my husband had a legal issue with the courts for driving with no license was sentenced to 10 days jail but I forgot that and he went to community service instead

Recommended by whom? An attorney?

Driving without a license is a misdemeanor, and not a crime involving moral turpitude. It would not make your husband inadmissible, and his adjustment of status would not be denied because of it. You didn't need an attorney.

No I was recommended to seek legal council by uscis because I didn't know how to explain what happened! Plus when this happened they gave him a 1300 fine and 10 days jail time! But we fought and they sent him to 28 hours of community service with a 1000 dollar fine! He was fingered printed and everything so thats why we were worried! After recieving the disposition from the court we noticed they have is birthday incorrect and the courts refuse to change it because it's 4 years later! Hence the reason I gotta lawyer bc I has these concerns

I have known of similar issues and guess what in those cases it didn't even come up.... they are looking for other types of crimes...

WHAT?! Someone else in his office should be handling it. there are deadlines for replying to RFE's. Go to his office and get a copy of the RFE and start collecting the info. If you want to reply to it yourself you will need the original RFE notice to mail with your response.

Ironically he works alone! He's the only person working in his practice! I'm super annoyed bc I think he's overwhelmed and has too many cases bc when I go to see him he doesn't even remember who I am

But everyone I know used him! I'm running outta options with him
