Good Morning,

I applied for both my parents and NOA1 for each of them was received on 10/17/2011. Yesterday I received an official I-797 Notice of Action from CSC that my mom's immigrant petition was approved and forwarded to NVC on 03/30/2012. I have not received any email notification prior even though I have signed for this on USCIS site. Today I checked the USCIS site to see what's going on with my dad's case - still in initial review; however, I also checked the status of my mom's petition and, surprisingly, according to USCIS her case is still in initial review. How is this possible? Do I have to call CSC? Anybody knows how long it will be before I receive my dad's approval and why I do not get any email notifications? Do you think I have to wait for his approval before calling NVC for my mom's case number? Is it any way NVC to handle both cases together later - meaning they will be able to go together for the interview?

Thank you

Congrats on your mom's approval..Not always both parents get approved at the same time but your dad's should be soon approved. Now is very strange that you haven't receive any email on the USCIS site saying that you register to get the notification fro them but even more strange that is still showing initial review! You should call NVC and try to get her case number and call USCIS and ask what's the case with your father!Chase them ...

Thank you! I called USCIS and checked the status on both my parent's cases - according to the automated system, both cases have been approved and I-797 were sent. Then I spoke with customer service representative and I was told that my mom's case is shown approved in the system but for my dad's petition it will take additional 37 days! When I told them what information I have received from their automated system, they do not have an answer why is this and what is really the status of my dad's I-130. There was not a good explanation on why I was not notified by email or on my cell phone. It is so confusing!

I will wait a few days and will call NVC to see what files they have received.
