Pool: It is true that smokers have the worse hygiene in the world?

My answer YES:

My explanation: (I have a lot more to back up my argument in case you like to argue)

I mean, think about it, the stinky smoke they inhale is not easy to get rid of. Don't cover it with perfume/cologne that will not add point to your hygiene. That’s like trying to cover dust underneath your bed.

Now if you ask a smoker the following question;

Knowing that smoking makes you stink and display poor hygiene in your personality,

Why don't you stop?

They will always reply, "You don't smoke, you will never understand"

Now my question is: if hygiene were their priority, would they still smoke?

Think about that. And please don't ever tell a smoker they stink, they will get defensive by saying they smoke but they don't stink. To that I say (okkkaayy!!)

That habit overpowers their hygiene and they will fight like a shark to prove anyone the have a good sense of hygiene. To that I laugh (ha-ha-ha)

my husband smokes and he admits he stinks  . I am working to change his habit but of course the decision will be his. We cant stop someone to smoke unless we tied their hands. Hehe. He agreed to quit, he just can't quit drastically. Lately he is improving.. he never smokes when with me. My problem is when he is at work, friends smoke, he cant help himself not to smoke so this will be a little battle.

I guess the habit is taking over his hygiene. Not a good thing. (my opinion)

I don't know how this is relevant to this board. I assume that your wife is a smoker and you don't like it. You have to accept her and all her habits. If there is something you can't accept about your partner and it will bother you the rest of your lives, then you don't engage in a serious relationship with her..

Not to mention higher healthcare costs. I know of one firm that put a 15% surcharge on medical premiums for employees that smoke.

That is like someone hiding dirt under neath the bed. Please don't invite me to your house (-Ha-ha-ha)

Anyone who can't stop lack self-steam, will power, or back the the same subject (lack of hygiene not respecting his/her body?) :bonk:

Don't blow smoke in my direction, and I won't fart in yours.

LOL

Let see my clothes are washed every week. All my clothes are neat and crisp. My house is spotless. My Job is high paying, I believe I am very intelligent and hold a high position at my company for 16 years. My family loves me and my wife loves me. Lets see what else.... I travel the world, provide savings for my niece, nephew, little sister, my wife's family and my self. I pray to GOD everyday. I am kind to others and give respect when respect is given. Mmmmmm I think I have a good self-esteem!!!

Yes all of us in this world have flaws and weaknesses.. If you believe you don't then your in a dream world or denial.

I have watched healthy runners, health fanatics, vegans etc... Die before me or fell ill for sickness from everyday normal living. At least I admit to what is my flaw..!!

It amazes me how if you met me never knew I smoked and was the greatest person in the world to you or others but one day you see me smoke. You hightail it and run for the hills SAD!!

That is why I treat those that don't judge and make presumptions with the most respect and generosity of my heart and mind.

I believe that most of the people here have a nice job, house very clean, and respectful with friends and family. So that is out of the question. That will not give you any points.

A person who does not respect his body/hygiene has some serious issues with his/her life. Again that is my point of view. As a smoker, you will not see it like that.

I mean, how weak can a mind be to be manipulated by something that it is putting dirt to your body and life? I need an answer to that. I am not trying to offend anyone, just opening their eyes.

Take care.

You don't know what your talking about, did you know highly paid professionals and healthcare providers have a very high number of substance abusers (smokers and alcoholics, not to mention the rich and famous.. I think your the one with the lack of self steam and in need of glasses..

You did not mess with my nerves. I don't need to deal with the issue/situation/problem that you need to deal with.

But then again, sometimes I sound a bit rude. I apologize if I did.

I have no idea what kind of a person you are. A Smoker is the only book that I judge by it covers. Other than that, I can be as nice and nonjudgmental as it can be.

Probably because I believe hygiene is something prettt(pronouncing the t) important in a human being. Because of that, I will stand by point. "Smokers lack hygiene!" I took that quote from either you are or your not. There is no in between.
