Hello Everyone!! I am just new here. and I found this site very helpful..

I am a CEBUANA, from Lapu-Lapu City Cebu.

My Fiance is from Hawaii.

We are still getting started on our journey.

We just met for the first time in person, last feb 26 to march 6, his been here for only 10 days because of work.

But even though our time together is so short. its not a hindrance for us to fall deeply inlove with each other. He met my family first in Cebu, then we went to Boracay, He proposed to me there, We went back in Cebu and got engaged there with my family. and now we are getting started for the fiancee visa..

I already send him my papers, so probably we will get ready and send our form I-129F on the 16th of April.

But we are a little confused about the filing fee.. I saw a news about changes in the visa fees effective this April 13..

So we need a little help about this..

Hope anyone here could help us..

Thank YOU So Much!!

May God Bless Us Always.. :-)

Where did you read about these changes?

I have read nothing on the USCIS I-129F form or on the US Embassy fee list of any changes being announced.

The I-129F (new form 2/29/2012) is still $340

And the K-1 visa is still $350

Filing the petition and applying for the actual K-1 visa at the consulate in your country are two different procedures and they have two different and separate fees.

The filing fee for the I-129F is $340 and not changing.

The visa processing fee that is paid later for the interview is currently $350 but will go down to $240 on April 13th.

Where did you read about these changes?

I have read nothing on the USCIS I-129F form or on the US Embassy fee list of any changes being announced.

The I-129F (new form 2/29/2012) is still $340

And the K-1 visa is still $350

the ONLY changes they did is the VISA processing fee/s instead of $350 it will go down to $240.

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!
