My interview was scheduled for 10:30am. The hubby and I arrived at 10am. Our lawyer arrived about 15 minutes later and met up with us. He collected my interview notice and gave it to the guard who sent us over to a trailer where they send the overflow of people. We were called over the speakers around 10:55 am and proceeded to the main building. The immigration officer was waiting there. She did not smile nor was she chatty or friendly. I thought I was going to vomit!!! My nerves were a wreck. She pointed us in her office and asked for our documents. She methodically went through our documents and verified everything. At some point, she left the room to check with another immigration officer about a concern with my document. She asked for our joint documents as a couple. We provided her with everything. She commented that since we just got married in January, she was surprised that we were able to gather a decent amount of proof of our bonafide marriage.

She finally said, ” well, I'm gonna approve you guys.” Took a total of around 30 minutes. She gave me a letter with an official seal to use as proof of my permanent resident status until my green card arrives in the mail in about 30 days.

Thank you Lord!! What a tremendous blessing. Thanks to all of you guys as well.
