Thank you. Just wondering what's the next step?

The 'Guides' at top will tell you what the next step is. :) You wait for the NOA2 letter to arrive in the mail. Then, about a week after that, you can begin contacting NVC to get your case number. NVC will send a letter informing you of the case number as well as informing you that the petition has been sent to the consulate. You can also find a 'K-1 flowchart' chart in the guides that shows estimates and each stage of the process. For Manila, you can find the forms and documents in the instructions listed on the link in my signature.

We got our NOA2 yesterday :)))For sure approvals are coming:))Fingers crossed for the rest of the april fillers waiting!!!

Congrats!

Thank you! Unfortunately, Wally G's guide started becoming a little outdated (bound to happen sooner or later). However, Hank_ has provided equally useful and more up to date info. That's great news! We are lucky we don't have to translate anything. :P Yes, we are enjoying it very much so. We both feel we can finally take a breather even though we waited months for the moment. Ha, ha, yeah! We already have the forms complete. Manila doesn't mail them out, and we have to bring them to the interview rather than mail them like some consulates require. I'm in the process of contacting NVC now. They told me today that our number wasn't in the system yet so I'll try again tomorrow...

Yep, translations are a PITA. Not only do they have to be certified/notarized, they take awhile to get as well. Then some of the information on forms like the DS-156K must be done in duplicate both in English and Chinese.... It's a fun challenge but we should have everything together within two weeks. We have to carry everything in also and do an info pass the day before the interview. One plus to the time line now for me is it won't be in the terribly hot and humid months and the weather should be much more tolerable.

The approvals for everyone are gathering speed! Our best wishes and prayers are with those still waiting. (F)
