I called and 2/6/12 is their date and within processing times. Both people on phone wouldn't create Service Order and I spoke to a supervisor who didn't give me a job title (lol, "supervisor"). Didn't even tell me to call back, said the information was incorrect online and to just wait.

Thinking I'm just going to make it a daily routine for lunch.

Wow even went to tell you that the info online was incorrect.... That's just nuts :bonk:

Yea, when I had called and before the rep transferred me to the Supervisor... She kept telling me he's only going to tell you the same thing I did. When I got to the supervisor I actually only spoke to him for about a min or two... i explained to him that i spoke to a prev rep before i had 5 months and he said i'd be able to get one and after that he said let me go ahead and transfer you to an escalated line... and there the lady again said she would only be able to place it if the system allowed her too and told me to wait... and walah! I had a service request in.

These people are tricky and will try to tell you anything to get you off the phone. Even after she said she submitted my request she went to tell me that I was still within normal processing time.

Well I have sent off everything that was requested for our RFE. Never thought I would be posting this, but i am soo confused and hurt right now. My fiance just told me the day after I mailed the RFE response, that he has "cold feet" and not ready for the lifestyle change and to move forward. :( I am hoping this is only a temporary "cold feet" and in the future we will be able to move forward. He says it has nothing to do with me, he loves me, we are soulmates, we are best friends, but he just isn't as ready for the big change as he thought he was.

Is there anyone that has gone through this at this stage with their fiances? If so I would really like to hear about how it all worked out.

Live for today because you never know what tomorrow will bring!

Hey CarolAnn&Eddy. I'm really sorry to here about that. You guys can take your time though. Even after your approval, there is no rush unless you make it one. I am sure your situation is not so uncommon, and I am willing to bet many could share and/or console you in this dilemma if it were posted as a separate topic as it would lead to more attention. As a fellow April filer though, I'm sorry you have come this far just to be confused as to what move you should take next. Remember, you can extend the life of your petition every 4 months up to the year. When you do decide on an interview date, you have 6 months to use the visa. In any case, I hope you guys can come to a happy conclusion.

Sure did. As of yesterday, they updated it. However, it means nothing to me when I see many March filers and some April filers have already been approved on VJ. It isn't going to set anybody's mind at ease and keep them from getting inquiries of course.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I decided not to post this as a separate thread because we all know how carried away assumptions get on here by some people. I will definitely be doing extensions as far as I can because I just can't think about starting the whole process over.

You're welcome. Yes! I understand exactly what you mean, and we will not allow this thread to get hijacked in such a manner. Yeah, I would do the extensions. You are right. There is no point starting over again when you two love each other and apprehensiveness of a new country, or whatever it may be, is the only thing holding you back. Theoretically, you have 18 months with the petition extensions and visa expiration, but I do hope you guys will not have to push it to the limit.

We do love each other very much! More than coming to a new country, but a bit of a lifestyle change, family as he has never had before (meaning extended as well), a huge support system instead of doing everything on his own is a huge change! I know it can be scary and therefore giving space and time. :) I hope we don't have to go out the full 18mths either, but I will wait until he is ready no matter how long that takes. I am definitely not one to push someone into doing something before ready. :)

Glad to hear you know exactly what was amiss and were able to make the correction. I hope it goes smoothly for you from here! Poor VSC filers. :crying: I remember seeing that my petition might be adjudicated around this time when I first put in my NOA1 date. Now, I am not expecting anything less than October but will inquire after September 17. Hope you get the speedy approval now!

Well I'm finally able to send my RFE response off tomorrow morning. It will be interesting to see how quickly or not it gets processed.... and hopefully approved!

Good luck sanyata! I am confident you will be fine since you were aware of exactly what they wanted. Even with your RFE delaying the process, I bet you will get an approval before I hear any peep out of them.:whistle:
