Hi,

We just called NVC and they gave us the CASE NUMBER. They said that they're still processing the papers and it will be in Manila within 2-4 weeks. My question is, should we wait for it to arrive in Manila before paying the Visa Fee, Scheduling the Interview and doing my Medical?

Your help will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

GOTTA LOVE THE STATE DEPARTMENT! I just got off the phone with NVC where I received our Manila case number. The NVC representative told me that the case should be headed to Manila in 24 to 48 hours. Only 5 days after NOA2 we are now able to pay our visa fee. Our plan is to pay the visa fee when BPI opens at 0900 Philippines time and hopefully be able to schedule our embassy appointment in the next 12 hours.

I pray that the visa process continues to move fast, not just for us, but for the rest of us VSC filers who have had to wait such a long time. Good luck everyone!!!

Any VSC filers recieve their Manila case number yet and scheduled their interviews? I am curious how long NVC is taking from NOA2 date to issue a case number and what dates Manila is kicking out for interview apointments. Will we make it before Christmas?

Best of luck everyone!

Received my MNL number 7 days from NOA2 by calling NVC. That was 10/17. Called NVC this Monday, and they said case was forwarded Friday 10/19. I emailed the embassy. They replied saying that the electronic file has been forwarded, and the actual paper package will follow. There were a few dates to schedule in November and several in December.

No, what you should do is call back NVC in a few days. Keep calling them until they can give you a date that the case was forwarded. They forward an electronic copy of your petition before the actual petition reaches the embassy. You can pay the fee as soon as you have your case number. The receipt is good for one year. You should do your medical after you have an appointment scheduled as this will be asked at the medical. Just make sure your case has been forwarded to the embassy, and schedule out at least a couple of weeks from that forward date so you know the petition will be there when you get there.

Congrats to the filers that got their approvals!

This may seem like a really obvious question but what is "manila" I just got my NOA2 so Im jittery and trying to figure out the next step. I assume the next step is to call the NVC in a week correct?

CONGRADULATIONS ON YOUR NOA2!!!!!!

Manila is the capital city of The Philippines. We are refering to the US embassy there. Now that your petition is in the hands of NVC you need to follow the instructions specific to your country's embassy.

Thanks Todd and Jessa. One more question, Is this the link where you got the USA Visa Deposit Slip? --> http://ustraveldocs....try=philippines . If it is, then all I need to do is print it out and give this to the teller then pay the Visa Fee right? Then they'll give me a receipt with my passport number as the receipt number.

Thanks,

Chris & Tiffy

Thanks,

Sorry, I can't retrieve that link. If that is the actual page with the deposit slip, it can't be linked. It generates a new slip with unique number every time you click the link to generate one. This is the page: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-paymentinfo.asp

I assume you already went there. If you scroll down and click 'Deposit Slip-$240 MRV Fee', it generates the slip. Print it. Yes, you bring this slip to BPI along with your passport and case number. The way they did it for us is the bank just printed receipt on the back of the customer copy of the deposit slip. The receipt number on the deposit slip was the same as the bank's. When we scheduled online, the receipt number was accepted. I know it used to be passport number, and maybe it still is for some consulates. However, the deposit slip has only been in use since September. As far as I know, you schedule with the unique receipt number of the deposit slip. Just check to see what numbers are printed by the bank when you pay. If the receipt number doesn't work, try your passport number.
