Hello i'd like to introduce myself my name is Logan and I've started the process of petitioning for a K1 visa for entrance of my fiancee Vanilda from Brazil. I met Vanilda while i was down in Sao Paulo for work it was a short 2 week trip (in Sept of 2011) and while i was bored in the hotel i decided to talk to local women on a dating site i used in the United States. I was surprised to find that it was used quite heavily in brazil. After speaking with Vanilda it was apparent that we wanted to meet each other and that we like eachother, but we were unable to meet in the short timeframe. After leaving brazil we continued to speak everyday (and i continued to learn portuguese as she doesn't speak english). By mid Dec i had decided that i needed to use what was left of my vacation so i went back to Sao paulo for 2 weeks and spent the entire time with Vanilda her daughter and her family. It was truly one of the happiest times i've ever experienced thus far in my life and everything was amazing. By the end of my vacation i had decided that she truly held the key to my heart and i had proposed to her but not quite the way i really would have wanted to as travel between countries and customs is a pain but with a simple ring we are now engaged and my Portuguese has come a very long way. Now that i am back i've been working on the K-1 visa process and i have been very overwhelmed with what seems like a mountain of redtape. I am very happy to have found this community and have already found lots of good information and notes and i am welcome to any advice from anyone here.

Thanks...

-Logan

Corinthians :) my fiance's favorite futébol team. Are you in the process of a k1 visa ? i am just reading that they only interview for k1 visa's in Rio. If you had to give your top notes or advice about the process what would you say ?

Thanks
