Went to get my wife's Texas ID today. She can't drive so we are settling for an ID card. Finally the marriage license came in after 3 weeks and we headed to the DPS office. Get there and go through the process of waiting an hour and a half then get to the counter to be turned away because they wanted the I-94 form she got at customs at the POE in Miami. This required us to return home to get it and wait another hour and half for her to get her ID which expires soon due to the 90 day time frame in which we must get married but I am in the process of completing the AOS paperwork and will renew the ID when we are approved. Heads up to all you TEXANS!!!!!!!! This might hold true for other states also.

Yes, you need the I-94 for any document transaction. I am sure you needed it to obtain the marriage license. Make sure you obtain a certified copy of your marriage decree once you get married. You will need the certified marriage decree, the I-94/passport once you get married and apply for her SSN.
