RUB cultural customs to be aware of

I will be travelling to ukraine / moldova and did not really know much about the appropriate behaviour for visitors / newbie family members, such as showing affection in the presence of parents / relatives and in public places. proper etiquette in restaraunts and other social settings. customs inside the homes to show respect, like taking shoes off, taking a small gift for close family members at first meeting, how to get advice on where to take her without asking her as she wants you to be the leader ( kinda wondering how this works when you are in a strange place you are unfamiliar with. ) also A bit more personal;;; when to initiate sex when you have been internet dating so long and she is so hot? as too soon might scare her off, or make her feel cheap and too long she might think there is something wrong with you.but if you are only there for a week or ten days. ?????? here in US there is more time to feel her out.

Flowers, in an uneven number, are always good.

Keep the affection to middle school levels. Some light kissing and hand holding.

Try any food they present you.

You can be the leader even if you don't know where to go. You can, for example, say "Let's go eat", but let her tell you where, etc.

And always let the woman initiate sex. This way you shall never be deemed a creep. You can always make out and hope for the best, and a well timed butt-grab works wonders.

Met on Elenas models, got aquainted over four months, visited/ married then upon arriving home had e-mail she reconsidered and no more lady.

Be honest with her at all levels. She may be very traditional, so don't expect to show any affection in public. Holding hands is a big deal. If you are going to meet family, bring along small gifts. It is about showing respect not showing off your money.

If you are going to meet several people at different homes, then pace yourself with eating. Eat a little bit of everything at all places since they may have prepared food all day. You will be expected to eat everywhere you are invited. If you have drinks, limit your intake more as a personal standard that way you won't insult the host. Three shots is a minimum you can survive.

If you plan for intimacy, don't expect it right away. It could take a few days and just might not happen. If you think she might be receptive, then just ask straight out. More likely she won't be offended and you will get a direct answer. The answer could go either way.

Remember that she is not an American woman, so don't expect the same response as here.

True, although one time I bought tulips at a stop in Amsterdam and they were just as well received.

When she unzips your pants, pushes you down and starts to climb on is usually when I initiate sex. I rarely get turned down.

I would not be "showing affection" in front of close family, that's just me. My MIL is an old Soviet and has a hammer and sickle in the closet. Be aware! Actually they know the score and when we visit she will offer to let us sleep at her flat, across the street, and she will stay in our flat "with the children" (youngest now 17) so we can "make sex" but "try not to make so much noise my neighbors complain" She did NOT make the same offer before we were married.
